A short clip of some early season trout fishing on one of Glasgow’s many urban streams. Featuring the Sunray California Glass. 8ft 1wt fibreglass rod.
Great vid, and action, an stunning lookin brown trout , and my Son can watch an learn , Great, and he can mute me now ,grrr.
So glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for taking the time to comment!
Lovely 😊
Thanks!
Some decent trout on that water, easy access or jungle warfare?
I would say this one is 50/50. Quite urban so easy to get to but still a bit of bushwhacking involved to get to the best bits!
What permit covers these streams?
This is one of several small streams that run into the White Cart. The river and all of its tributaries are covered by 3 different associations ; Paisley Abercorn, Busby AA and Walton AC. If you need further information feel free to email me at whitecart.flyfishing@gmail.com. Hope you enjoyed the video!
Lovely scenery and great fishing, give me the wee burns over the rivers any day. Ill have to try my videos without talking, i guy from Cork asked for subtitles! Subscribed 👍
Thanks for the sub. I am definitely better off on mute. Believe me!😂😂
I enjoyed your film. Delicate fishing and not a lure in sight. Thanks. jk 'muchty.
Thanks. I’m glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun day!
Great video I can’t fly fish haha
Thanks. You should give it a go. Small streams like this are a great place to start
Well done
Thanks!
Nicely done. A great video. Good camera work, no silly music - just the river and the fish. Perfect! Thanks for sharing - looking forward to the next adventure.
Thanks for the feedback. Keen to keep it simple as I don’t want to turn fishing trips into filming trips
Always with that infernal wind !! What flies did you get them on ?
Haha the video doesn’t even do it justice! A mixture of different caddis imitations for the dries and just basic hares ears and ptns for the nymphs. They are not really that fussy, it’s getting to them that is difficult!
Nice mate 👌 I fish a couple of the little rivers around here too! Jungle warfare this time of year eh 😂
Exactly! Can’t even see the water in some places never mind fish it 😂
Looks like the good old Whychwood River and Stream fly rod 👍
Sure is. Fantastic little rod for the money!
Excellent fish you’re doing something right top man
Thanks! Sometimes I do everything wrong, I might do that video one day haha!
Well done, just subbed. Talk to us, tell us whatshe going on👍
Thanks. Really appreciate the sub and the feedback. Just easing myself in gently at the moment haha
Are you using klink and dink
@@barbcoll100yes, a couple are on the nymph using this method. Most fish caught using a single dry though
My advice for what it's worth, cut out the music
Thanks. I eventually plan on doing some longer more natural videos, but just getting to grips with editing at the moment. What’s your favourite song?😂
does it have sewerage ?
No. The mess you see is due to people dumping waste in and around the river.
Really good video , where abouts did you go in the levern water as I stay in Barrhead and it runs next to my flat , always wanted to walk it and see if I can see any good spots
This is between nitshill and Barrhead. Definitely worth exploring the whole river!
I did not realise that this water had good size fish. Only small loach, and stickle backs.
The small burns are always worth exploring. Great trout habitat!
