Which software use characters animation?

I have completed my degree in animations & VFX I know the basic knowledge of 3d and 2d software, but I am currently creating my portfolio for 2d animation cuz my interest is in 2d animation storyboarding and all stuf fbut my frnds are like saying me to go into 3d cuz there's no scope remain for 2d would u plz like to give some light on my comment

Bro, they look fake af, you can do it by finding an image of an arm whith veins and its from a similar angle and using luminosity blend mode an adjusting the light and saturation, that would create realistic veins
