@@megandaviesphoto You know, that’s a good question! I touch the wand all the time, but I wouldn’t call it «contact style». But I do love the illusion, so I think I’m landing on illusionbased! 👍 So many possibilities! Anyway, it is all about the fun! ❤️😁

David Smit Congrats with your new wand, and welcome to the magic family! Is it the light bamboo type? It’s easier with a wand with more weighted ends, than the light thin types. Also, If you are all new to this, it will take time and practice to get control over the isolations. It is not the easiest moves to start with.If you are all new to levi wand, it can be fun just to experiment and get used to how the wand behaves in the beginning. David Smit In the beginning I split the string - there’s probably tutorials on this, but I don’t have any. Search for «split string moves», maybe you’ll find something! 👍😊

@@Leviosa79 hey thanks for responding! I ordered my first wand a few days ago. A normal flow wand, no lights. Is there any way you could film a tutorial on some of your tricks? Particularly the tricks you usually begin with, where is really looks like it is floating between your hands. Edit: oh damn. Just saw your iso tutorial!

MaryEllen Worland I can do many moves of these moves with short string, too, except the moves when the wand is far away from the hands or body. You can just attach a new, longer string (I use fishing line) to your wand, and experiment with different lengths. There are no rights or wrongs here, just use your creativity :)

You bring up about the arm attachment with a swivel. Would it be ok to just use a loop around the left shoulder and across to the right and down the arm?

Your very welcome, I'll look at your other videos to get some better ideas on how to do what I'd like to do with the flow wand.

Bob Kelley If I understand you correctly that works fine, too. I developed this setup and string length because it gives me most freedom, and the string never slides down or off my arm. I recommend trying out different setups and string lengths, experimenting is fun! 😁👍
