Shave with a safety razor or straight razor . Use a shave brush made from silvertip badger hair, get yourself some good pre-shave, get some good artisan shave soap and your all set

It’s a little different when you’re a Black Soldier that has to shave everyday…I’m in the medical field and have been to multiple military shaving classes and after 8 years I still struggle with Razor bumps the closer I shave it’s a curl pattern thing not a “I know how to shave and you don’t thing”

@@Clark1748bro it gets worse, once your out and let your hair start growing and finding your facial hair style. Once I got out I started growing it and would style it to fit my facial structure. It’s not until then that I started getting razor bumps. I just turned 25 and it’s my first time finally growing out facial hair.

Thank you for the unsponsored content! I appreciate the wisdom you're passing down to men with curly hair that can't be shaved with a traditional razor blade. I am ordering the exfoliating brush with a foil electric razor, I hope this is what I need to finally get rid of or at least significantly reduce my ingrown problem. How do you feel about the Braun series 9 electric razor?

Hey man just want to let you know that this video has been the only thing that’s worked for me. I used the whisker brush and the electric trimmer u recommended. My only complaint is that it doesn’t get the hair quite as short as I would like. I was wondering if you have any updates on your shaving routine that you’ve changed or improved. Thanks again, this has helped so much!

I'm glad the video was helpful! Still using the same technique that i mentioned in this video. However, I have heard of doing something called "zero gapping" your clipper blade so that it cuts shorter. I have not done this myself, so I can't give any advice/ recommendations on it. But it may be something you could look into if you are looking for a closer shave. Just be careful as it may increase your risk for cuts/knicks

It gets my shave about as close as possible without the hair going under the skin. The shave is nice and clean, when using it I apply very little pressure and it comes out looknig great.

There's not much you can do except for exfoliate more than usual. Also scarring the skin very lightly will help remove the bumps.

Using any sort of brush or exfoliating device that will help remove ingrown hairs will help! That and allowing enough time to pass without shaving will give the his skin the opportunity to heal on its own

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS PREVENTING OF INGROWN HAIRS: 1. THOU SHALT NOT USE DIRTY BLADES! Using a blade that's been used way too many times. Yes, this one may be obvious, but be sure to keep your used tools as clean as possible. Soap and rubbing alcohol will destroy bacteria. 2. HONOR THY DELICATE SKIN! Too many blades! If you are prone to ingrown hairs then you don’t need 3 or more blades. More blades equal more passes causing the hair to fall beneath the skin and become ingrown plus more blading the skin leads to micro cuts through which bacteria is more likely to enter and this leads to razor burn. 3. DO NOT TAKE PREP TIME IN VAIN! You should be using a warm/hot water prep (3-5 mins). Then leave the shaving cream on for more than 2-3 minutes to really soften the hair. The hair stubble should literally fall away with little or no pressure at all. Pressing hard is the problem! Be gentle ya'll. 4. THOU SHALT NOT GO AGAINST THE GRAIN! Shaving against the grain. Shave in the direction of hair growth (usually down, but perform a face/ body map to be sure) Inspect your hairy self and notice the way the hair grows. 5. THOU SHALT NOT PRESS! Pressing too hard on the skin with the blade. A gliding, light touch is all you need. This is likely your biggest issue. 6. THOU SHALT NOT PASS, PASS, PASS! Too many quick passes with the blade. One pass per hairy area - going 1-2 inches downward at a time - will prevent ingrown hairs. Always shave like you might cause damage, not like your mowing the front yard lawn. 7. THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT OVER SHAVING! Shaving too many times. This rule is hard to follow, especially if you have to shave for your career but if you are prone to ingrowns, try shaving with an electric clipper. The results are not super close but no one but you will know the difference. Ladies, try waxing. 8. THOU SHALT NOT CLOG! Use of skin/pore clogging creams or lotions. These keep hairs from growing up. After a shave, keep your skin bare; let the tiny army breath, and allow those newly shaved, really small, microscopic hairs to grow out just in time for the next shave. If your objective is smooth, bump-free skin following a shave or wax, then right after your goal should be to allow the skin to heal first. promote healing by proper shaving techniques followed by subtle rubbing alcohol (this kills any bacteria that my enter those micro cuts created from the shave) . Then after a few hours let the moisturizing commence! 9. KEEP THY SMOOTH SKIN FREE! At least for the first day or two, try to avoid tight fitting clothing around the Adam’s apple (neck) and/or below the waistline region. Newly shaved hair follicles need room to raise up. 10. REMEMBER TO EXFOLIATE! Not enough exfoliation to remove excess layers of skin causes ingrown hairs. Use an ingrown hair brush for razor bumps as directed. Make sure it’s a brush that has special bristles designed to tease newly shaved hairs away from entering the skin before they can become ingrown. If you have sensitive skin, then go with the soft and firm bristles.Try a Wizker brush and you’ll prevent razor bumps and ingrown hairs permanently! HUGS:)
