Iron Hands ex paired with Iron Crown ex is *DOMINATING* the Pokemon TCG right now!
Yo what's up. So I'm partyboi13 on TCG online. I'm playing a loyal 3 my favorite is definitely okidogi. Your deck reminds me a lot like mine. But anyways. The reason I'm here is have you or anyone noticed when playing the loyal 3 sometimes I get a sick attack boost and I'm hitting with 600 and 500 attack poins. If some know how exactly to activate it I'll show you a sick combo that use that you might not see.
I haven't seen this variation of the Torterra deck, looks fun, I'll try using it
I need help, where I play there are a lot of lua bang and ancient box, and they use pechanut ex, it's impossible to win, I've already tried using mist energy on mimikyu, but if he puts baby leo on the table and pechanut doesn't have the What to do, would you know of a deck to play around this? Thank you very much, hugs from Brazil
Unfortunately, the addition of Pecharunt ex into the format makes playing something like Snorlax very difficult. The only thing I can possibly think of currently is trying to set up a noivern ex with a mist energy on it so you can use the first attack to make him immune to all basic Pokemon
wynaut colress for lost zone spam and comfey? and serp v instead of leaves
Lost zone vs arc as an engine with Tina gives different matchup spreads and support options. Both are very viable decks, but they offer different things for Tina. As far as leaves vs serperior, leaves is easier to use as an attacker against zard since it lets you spread the energies around and make it to where your opponent can't just boss serperior and ko it before can attack or evolve. Leaves also get the benefit of being able to be used as a pseudo switch if your opponent ever tried to boss stall you. And leaves hitting 180 is relevant to ko support mons like squawk, Lumineon and mew ex. Overall, leaves provides more utility over serperior and it's much easier to use as an attacker
@@bestofthreetcg lost zone gives tina insta kos if match is long with colress, comfey and abyss seeking, serp v's regal blender also redistributes energy around+star winder gives switch out if u wanna use the vstar power, but ye iron leaves does provide faster and more efficient switch adv with lowered hp and takes 1 turn to charge which might give char a free move unless u have switch, Tina max belt also alr ohkos chars with lost impact and vstar arc can add energy to both tina and serp cuz both v's and serp same energy condition as leaves but 190+10 power, both look viable ig
Noivern is a bully 😔
Yeah, unfortunately 😔
@@bestofthreetcg iron hands still has a lot of potential though so it’s kinda frustrating
Great video!
These videos are high value for people like me. I’m finally ready to up my game and participate in Play! Pokemon league. Big Kudos!
Thank you! I'm happy to hear it!
Thanks for this information, really well explained and demonstrated. I'm relatively new to upgrading my EX decks, so this was really useful.
Happy to help!
i hope they release another booster box for ancient and future after stellar crown
I agree! I hope they do this as well
good video man!
Appreciate it!
Perfect deck! I'm a big Snorlax player it's amazing

We LOVE our chabdelure, waiting for a deck with him to be viable
I like this deck. Would be cool to see you play many more games of it. Even ones where you struggle or lose, just so we can learn from it, and see how realistic this deck is. Thanks for the content!
Has been one of my fave decks but dont think its consistent enough yet to hang w best decks.
00:00 Introduction 00:12 Decklist 06:06 Gameplay
Dragapult is relevant enough that I always have two in my Regidrago decks. It trades well into quite a few meta decks and you can pretty consistently get a turn two dragapult off causing some major disruption. The baby Koraidon is smart, I was playing a one of cancelling cologne so I might try this
I've been heading down that thought with 2 pult as well. Just hadn't tried it before making the video, but I could very well see it being quite handy

Coming from 25yrs of MTG, i don’t see the need of pokemon player to take notes: in MTG you are required to take mental notes of everything, from your cards to opponent’s hand if you see it, if they played the turn land or not, what cards they did play for sideboarding, possible answers the player may have in hand. I understand that pokemon is also played by kids but memorizing cards is a basic skill even in classic card games with italian or french cards
The main thing to take notes on is your 6 prize cards. Those are 6 cards taken out of your deck at the start of the game that you will not have access to until you knockout your opponent's Pokemon. So figuring out what those cards are can be very important as it affects your decision making throughout the game and can determine how passive or aggressive you need to play. The other big thing is if you're playing a control deck. Keeping track of your opponents resources can help you make the appropriate decisions from turn to turn as you establish a win condition. And typically, control decks in Pokemon don't take prizes too often. So those 6 cards and pretty much completely out of reach for you the entire game
Because Pokémon isn't as bloated as MTG, a lot of the skill comes from optimizing the flow of the game. You're more focused on optimization of the meta game and meta of the meta game rather than the game itself IMO. If the notes allow you to take less time in your 50 min round than needing to ruminate about what's prized or what's been played, it's definitely worth it. If this weren't tournament play focused and instead talking about kitchen table with Theme decks, I'd agree.
Stall definitely isn't my favorite strategy, but I do really like control and I love how we've got so much control support right now that you can give even aggro decks a lot of control options.
I began playing just a couple of months ago after my partner insisted I played as well, and I decided that my first deck was gonna be snorlax stall. It is so much fun to play with!! I love it a lot! Your videos have helped me so much at understanding how to play it better
Happy to hear it!
00:00 Introduction 00:10 Deck Profile 11:00 Gameplay
how to beat roaring moon - koraidon ancient box?
You pretty much have only one play line imo. You have to start Pao and let it take a hit. Then you retreat into ninja and hit two moon with shuriken. From there it's using your super rods to use iron hands amp you very much 3 times
@@bestofthreetcgdo you think its a impossible win for chienpao in match up againts this particular single prizer deck like this? you have to consistently finding rod , nest ball, energy retrival ,and minimum 1 energy to switch active pokemon every turn in order to keep attacking with iron hands on top of that you have to maintain bax with prizing like this counter catcher is in play.
Impossible, no. But extremely difficult, yes. Bax has enough search and dig to at least have a chance of efficiently finding resources from turn to turn. But it will be very difficult
Can I use notes to write the Supporters my opp has used on their turns so they don't double support? Notes example: T1 Opp Professor Research T2 Opp Iono T3 Opp Boss's Orders
Absolutely
Great video, is the reason people play the 70hp frigibax just for sabeleye? Feel's dumb to play a card with that horrible retreat cost for 1 match up
Pretty much. It comes up against sableye almost exclusively. And it really only matters if they targeted your bax early and you need to setup another in the mid-game since you need to put down 2 to ensure 1 lives to become a big bax
Apologies for the graphic used for the arc control deck. It was fine before exporting, so im unsure what happened after the video was exported.

Just want to add some clarification. Although most judges realistically wont penalize you for it. This is what the rulebook states as far as not taking goes and what you write Pg. 45 - 5.8.7 Note Taking : Because a judge may ask to see a player’s notes while a match is in progress, the use of codes, ciphers, abbreviations, or any other method of obscuring the meaning of the information is not permitted. Additionally, notes taken by a player may not contain misinformation intended to deceive tournament staff. Should a judge request clarification, or a translation for notes written in a language not spoken by tournament staff, the player must oblige.
Much appreciated!
Stage 1 judge here. You can absolutely use any abbreviation as long as it's straight forward and not a weird encoding. UB for Ultra Ball is fine. If that's the only ball in your list, ball is fine too. UB for Arceus would be an encoding, so that wouldn't be ok.
Appreciate the clarification!
I'm late to this but why Is encoding against the rules?
@@darkaurachannel1460 Honestly, I have no idea why it's against the rules. I just chalk it up to "because the Pokémon Company says so."
😮
😮
Hey, bit newer to ptcg, may I ask why at 14:10 u don’t play palkia v or use buddy puffin to put more of the gimmighoul ? Is this to play around boss/gust effects? Nice content though man got a sub 😊
The gimmighoul was simply because I was so focused on looking for the energy that turn that I just forgot I had one left in deck 😅 The Palkia was because it wasnt going to be useful imo. We knew early on the opponent was playing arc counter box (with alolan Vulpix and noivern ex being the other attackers). So given this information, I deduced that the board was less likely to be filled with Pokemon since the only backup attacker thats useful into Dengo is vulpix, which is best suited as a lone attacker. Thus meaning the board will be empty, palkia will be locked by snow mirage and this in turn makes Palkia a suboptimal attacker. The game plan for this matchup as the dengo player is target down every Vulpix you see and ko arcs after. Noivern is a very bad attacker for them and vulpix will nearly auto-win them the game if it gets off a snow mirage since my whole deck (minus gimmighoul) has abilities. And since that's our strategy, Palkia doesn't accomplish much in helping us achieve our win-condition
A better trick is to write down the prizes FIRST, then deal them out. This is just process of elimination….seriously though, the video was well done. Never heard that about shorthand in the notes before.
Bro no player is going to shark you and no judge is going to penalize you for using shorthand in your notes. Judges would probably prefer your deck search to be shorter which shorthand allows for. The only think people care for usually is that you have a clean page of notes
While you may be right, all it takes it 1 bad day for your whole tournament to be ruined. Whether it be an irate opponent or a super strict judge, it can happen. It's never safe to assume every person will react to a given situation in the same way. So for me personally, I would rather take the 1 extra second to write "ultra ball" vs "ub".
@@bestofthreetcg that extra time adds up, especially if you check all 6 prizes, all 3 games. As a judge said in the comments below there is no penalty for abbreviation, just for writing an alternative
There's nothing you could write in a notebook that a judge would have to read to arbitrate the rules. Not being allowed to shorthand Ultra Ball to UB is without justification. Games stink some times.
Yeah but unfortunately it's the rules we gotta follow 😕
Very useful information thanks! I just starting and I'm struggling with my time management specially when I'm searching. Thanks mate!
Happy to help!
Helpful, thanks
Do you stream? (and when?)
Not currently. I have thought about it and I'm not opposed! It's that something you'd like to see?
@@bestofthreetcg Yeah, for sure! I like how you elucidate your strategy -- it really connects with me. 🙂
Amazing video. Thanks a lot. I wanna play my first tournament, what I need to be prepared?
Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad to hear you wanna start playing in tournaments! @@bestofthreetcg I wanna start at my local card shop
How do you get all the cards you need for decks like this? Just pull packs? Or some kind of code cards?
Pretty much. My locals gives out IRL packs per round win for our weekly tournaments and my buds will usually donate their codes to me to help support the channel. And then I do get bulk codes when I can. Tcgplayer usually has sellers that you can buy bulk lots of codes from when a set drops. I'm usually able to get a few hundred codes for like $50
Thanks!

There's always gotta be somebody who starts the trend! If it's something you want to do, don't let anyone or anything stop you!
And when you do, people start complaining that you have advantage.
@@bestofthreetcgToday I take notes on a League cup, some guy star to say that the taking notes can be use to manipulate time on the game. 😂😂😂😂😂The same player has a couple of warnings for slow play without taking notes . I'm the first and only one doing it . I'm not going to stop
@@GoOKuSj33this happen on our local league WhatsApp group.

Loved it, super informative even for veteran players. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, friend!
I think dunsparce and dudunsparce needs adding to make this take take off.
I hadn't thought of that! You might be right
If u do duns u can't do palkia, just ruins the constantly of the deck. But I do prefer the duns but u are worse vs single prize decks. Thou palkia version has mainly the same issue but does better vs lost zone decks
Tinkaton is my favorite paldean mon. Hammer go smash!
Tinkaton is great!
