Shadows Of The Mind Funding Video!
gofund.me/d67a2b56 - Please help us bring Shadows of the Mind come to life!
Here is some information about the production:
Shadows of the Mind is a production I created in 2008 and was performed annually in central Florida from 2009-2014.
Shortly after, I moved to LA to become more acclimated with the industry, which was advice given to me by my grandfather, the late Professor Philip D Zitowitz of Meiji University in Japan.
He was advising me to get newspaper write ups as well as arts critiques of the show, so that he could put a package together to inspire producers to bring the production to Japan and later create a tour!

After living in LA for about 6 months, I found out that he unalived himself. I was distraught and spiraled, and needless to say, the show slipped from me.
Newly charged by what I feel is divine timing and purpose after 10 years I am back now trying to bring this show to life.
This production is bigger than me yet stands as a way to tell just a fraction of the tales that have transpired in my life. We tell these stories and watch them unfold on stage universally through dance.
The show is dedicated to a few amazing individuals. Philip D Zitowitz, My grandfather and confidant. Walter SIngletary, who was the man who created the Shadows Logo- he passed in 2018. And finally, Doris Zitowitz, my grandmother aka the great Dot White... This will be the first year that she will not be on stage singing wade in the water in person as she fell victim to the effects of Covid in 2020.
I have felt a deep calling to not only utilize my gifts in the arts to tell this story, but to uplift my community as a whole. There are so many deep wounds that we have yet to process.
This production allows us to do just that. Again, this project is bigger than me and I know now more than ever that I won't be able to do this without the community that I am looking to serve... My community.
With that being said, Shadows is more than just a performance - It's about creating a space where the audience can reflect, connect, and engage with the powerful stories being told through live art forms.
This narrative serves as a powerful reminder that we are all equipped to overcome the darkest moments of our lives while moving forward in unity and light.
How do I know this? Well, Shadows is my story. I've personally encountered, experienced, or continue to grapple with the themes presented in this show.
Join me as I reveal my own vulnerabilities, aiming to create a safe space for you to discover the light of love in your own life. I found mine in God - where will you find yours?
Now, the time has come to take this show to the next level. We are looking to raise $6,000 to support in putting on this heart-centered production.
