Time to inspect some recent work after the Hurricane
Going out and inspecting some recent culvert installs on a ranch after the big rains from Hurricane Helene. I stand on my work and like to look at what we have done after it has been tested to make sure it holds up to ensure we are delivering a quality product and service. My name means more than my profits

    Go buy a small wind turbine. The ones I have five blades and looks like big beach all. Then put it on a 5-10 foot pole then feed the wires down the pole to a battery monitor then deep cycle battery then inverter. That water would generate lots of energy. @@Blazed_and_Confused well I made this video the morning after in west Georgia so had no idea how bad it was getting up there. I thought it wasn't that bad but mainly because they were so far off on the storm track. I looked at it that morning and they had the storm track over by us but it actually went way east of where the NHC had the track. I feel terrible for NC and everyone east of us. I am no expert but it seems to me they were probably left totally unprepared based on the predicted track of the storm

    How is the siphon started?

    • @TheLandEditor
      @TheLandEditor Місяць тому

      @@larrybe2900 as the water level rises gravity fills the pipe up and starts the flow. As the water continues to rise it eventually gets up to the bottom of the vent pipe and seals it off from the air which at that point starts a negative suction which gets the siphon going

    How often do you need to drain the pond in normal conditions? How do you start the siphon

    • @TheLandEditor
      @TheLandEditor Місяць тому

      @@MapsAndCaps the siphon starts itself once the inflow to the pond raises the water to the level of the vent pipe sealing off air from getting into the vent which starts the siphoning effect. Once the water drops below the vent it will suck an air bubble which shuts the siphon off and the pond level is controlled by gravity flow to the level of the pipe buried in the dam
