UPRR Geneva Sub in HO Scale
Приєднався 4 тра 2013
The UPRR Geneva sub in HO Scale depicts the Union Pacific in the early 2000's running in Northern Illinois from West Chicago thru to Clinton Iowa. I have tried to capture this railroading experience in HO Scale. The layout is 500 sq ft in my basement with around the room staging, total of 3 levels, and helix to get from level to level. Using a Digitrax loconet system all hooked into computer control using Train Controller software.
I will also be posting lots of HOW TO videos for fellow Railroaders to enjoy.
You can also look me up on Facebook...lots of layout pictures:

I like the grey ballast - is it a mix of fine and medium size. What brand of ballast is it thanks 🙏
This looks fantastic , going to try this , will check out your channel and subscribe
Of all the painting clouds videos out there, yours is absolutely the best technique. Simple and fantastic results.
Thank you
I needed this video
Great tutorial!
I used your technique today, and I am pleased with the results. Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you for posting it.
Amazing!
Amazing!
I want it
Thankyou for the tips and video
BEAITIFUL WHAT YOU DO Mr., HERE FROM 🇦🇷 😊☺
Is there a link to how you painted clouds?
any reason I cannot just use the wire glue to hold the resistor? I have done about 20 cars this way so hope that will be fine????? I tried the super glue but kept getting it on the contacts somehow and I am not messy...!!
Very impressive!
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing your technique.
Very detailed. Using the resister end as a plug is helpful. Will give it a try.
How do you deal with the vapors and over spray of the Camo paint indoors? Looks very prototype.
I wear a mask and only paint a few feet at a time then leave the room until it cures.
On my way to trees of my own. Well done.
2023 Still a neat video. Learned a lot. Moving on to Background trees part 2.
Thank you
So simple, but your results are amazing ... thank you.
I went back to the beginning. Quite a spectacular layout. Great job and I get to watch its progress whenever I want, lol.
This is the latest video that we could comment on. The three most recent videos don’t allow comments, in case you weren’t aware. This layout is spectacular, it’s obviously been 11 years of work. You have a great knack for layout design and scenery. It looks to me like many of your scenes are highly detailed and magazine worthy. I saw you on the NMRA livestream and have subscribed and look forward to your future updates.
Very nice layout!!
That's an amazing technique I've never seen before! It won't completely replace the traditional for me, but great for the small, hard to hit areas you mentioned!
Great video and great layout! From Don Carlton NVRRA.
Thank you
Did you use acrylic or oil based paint?
These were done using acrylic
You are my God Tonight.
Nice work!
if i made a layout tour video of a layout even 10% as big as that i would hav so many trains running on that the whole video. missed opportunity
are you still alive
Yes. Sorry about the missed opportunities! I don't have time for UA-cam any longer. You can follow all my work on FB now. Link is in my description page 🚂
I like how nobody decides to model BNSF's Aurora Sub or at least put up staging yards for BNSF to run back and forth
Grand. Is the old CGW station by Peace Rd still there?
Nice video! I appreciate the mail Polish suggestion, too.
Nice work I'm from the area I like all of it thanks for the update
What size is this layout? Do you have the trackplans?
Thank you, that was a really good explanation and demonstration 😅
do you have a link where i can purchase this?
Rochelle (pronounced Ro-Shell)
Fantastic video. I’ve created my farm, but it needs hay bales, now I know how thanks to you. Thank you😆
I just discovered the other videos you made. Problem solved. Thank you so much.
Hi great video. I am trying to install leds to a tsunami decoder. What does the 14v common do my decoder looks exactly like the one you show here. But the leds don't work. The original bulbs do but I want leds.
I NEED IT
Where are you from? Are you sold this water tower? My son in love water towers, but in Brazil not sold this. Great job. Tks
Fantastic! You are an artist. I shall be trying to do this in the near future. Thank you.
What would be the best type of glue to use to add the rail?
I used CA gel
Nice technique Rob. Have you modified your method at all over the last 6 years?
Great technique Rob, love the simplicity and effectiveness of your method. Creates depth, movement, with those upward streaks, similar to what our eyes observe on a clear day with upward winds. Thanks 🙏 for sharing
My first time to your page. Great work and great layout.
too bad they dont post anymore
Terriffic layout. Can't wait to see future progress. Keep up the great work.
