She doesn't do anything for me but in all fairness I think I have all the dolls I love and close to one hundred, so a new doll has to be pretty spectacular. Summer is dressed in an infantile manner and I don't have little kids or grandkids. I do like the Names mold used but it isn't enough to make me want her. Those of you who complain about the box, the very nicest box was a white striped textured doll with a matching lid and a glossy cardboard band around it. No, you couldn't see their face but this was back in the day when the catalogues were large and gorgeous and quality control much better. Also customer service was perfect in case you had a valid complaint. So you didn't need to check all the faces through the box. It was like the classiest giftwrap by itself. We never wrapped the boxes of clothes, dolls or accessories. These gifts always came from Santa, even when my kids didn't believe in him anymore. They used to come out with less items each year, and I saved the purchases for Christmas and Hanukkah each year. So festive.

I like the box as well. I would love it if they put the picture on the back and the window on the front. The recycling trend is easy to do if you want to recycle the box, just pop out the window. But I can get with the new boxes. I love Summer! She is so over the top with her colors! Yes! The Nanea mold is not my favorite either but this doll is stunning!! Oh, I'm def getting her!!! I screamed SKORT too! I love your energy!!

I am definitely getting her. Despite all the controversy, I predict she will sell as well if not better than Lila. Her meet outfit is very Justice or My Life As but that’s not a bad thing. She is very cute and I like her interests of pets, baking, and entrepreneurship.

I don't mind the box change, I think these adults need to simmer down, and I realized a lot of people have major issues with change they need to address within themselves. Summer's Meet outfit is so cute, but I do prefer the outfit pack with the jacket and skort. I don't like the reuse shoes, but it makes sense with the outfit. I wish her pastel hair has more dimensions.

I think if she would have wore Jean shorts instead of the rainbow skirt it would have been better! Rainbow fun but like.. toned down lol

My 7 year old daughter gets the GOTY every Christmas! I also get her an outfit to match the doll! I'm gonna look for a pink bomber jacket and a lilac skirt with a white T this year! She already got the socks! Thanks for the review!

I think the word you’re looking for here is “child-like” instead of childish, which has more negative, immature connotations. But that said, your enthusiasm is contagious! I won’t be getting this doll but you’ve really made me think about the GOTY line in a new way.

I have a problem with the fact that they charge that much for the accessories and also no longer offer 5 dollars off if you buy a doll's accessories with her.

I think shes cute but i would have to get rid of a doll in order to justify owning her so i might just go for finding her meet (and those pajamas).

Okay I'm here for the skort hype too, like AG has become infamous for cutting corners on quality as of late navigating shrinkflation, so making it a SKORT and not just a skirt is a real surprise! And I agree - we soooo need a Daisy doll! I wish they had released Summer and Daisy as a duo Hoffman twins style tbh, that would've been cool. "Girls of 2025" they could've been called.

I looovvee her, I really want her. I personally love the way she looks. Her hair is beautiful, the box is super fun 😍 and I've always loved bright colors. So her meet outfit to me is amazing

I think Summer is a pretty doll. I love the Nanea face mold and the glasses are adorable. I don’t mind the box but I will miss the window if they change them all going forward. I am not a fan of her meet outfit but I don’t hate it either. I wish they didn’t make her whole collection in all the same colors. Just a bit too cotton candy look for me. I can see the kids really loving her though. I’m really happy you like her and it was so fun to see your box opening. Just adorable. 🥰

I really like the bright colors too. I think you are right about the GOTY line. It really does feel like they are going to end it soon! It might just be too much money and effort coming up with a new story and hiring an author every year.

I don't mind the box but I do understand those that live close to an AG store do like to see the doll they're picking out. But from what I'm hearing all the stores have allowed people to open the boxes up.

I LOVE THE NEW BOX TOOO!!! Plastic free packaging is kind of the norm in Australia now, so I’m so glad AG is moving towards it
