I took a gamble, buying with a Reed head earlier this year and after 6 months, I only play this whistle and head. I put away my carbon fiber instruments. I will refrain from criticism. But they aren't in the same class, despite being more expensive.

Bought his very first Low D and have had it for over 25 years sounds as good as it did when I first bought it and last year I replaced the heads and its even better. Brian knows his stuff that's for sure

It is. It’s not my go-to whistle, but it was laying on my desk so I decided to give it a go.
@@whistletunes5802 I have one in D, it can be a bit bitey, especially if playing long notes. Great if you can play fast like you though
@@LarryShone, it’s definitely my favorite cheap whistle. I don’t like them much right out of the box, but a little blue sticky tack to fill in the mouthpiece and it’s good to go.
@@whistletunes5802 yea I did that with mine last year but it didn't make a lot of difference I don't think. I stopped playing for a while, came back to it and forgot I'd put the blu tack in. I also have a blue top Generation in C which is quite a bit smoother. Hoping to get a Clarke Original soon...
@@LarryShone for some reason, the blue tack seems to keep my Feadog from breaking too easily into the second octave. Don’t get my wrong, it doesn’t turn it into a Killarney or a Copeland, but it’s not bad for a cheapie.
