It was a solid game, I was an early teenager and COD was at its peak. Fond memories of Bo2. Awesome nostalgia, but that period of time is long gone - every franchise eventually peaks, then troughs.

0:57 Call of Duty 4 was actually the first Call of Duty to take place in the future people forget that the original 3 Modern Warfare games actually took place a few years in the future at the time of release COD4 took place in 2011, MW2 took place in 2016, and MW3 took place in late 2016 and early 2017

my last cod that i played was bo2 und bo3 didnt like wz and wz2 bo4 was meh the mw games were so sweaty, i decided to hop on to bo6 and what i saw was the same matchup, again and again sbmm killed this game

I rember being a ps3 player, and waiting so long to play M C on console. The day it released on ps3 I played that demo about 1000 times xD.

Its crazy man. Everyone online and COD UA-camrs hated this game when it came out. The COD fanbase is so toxic they convinced themselves the best game was the WORST one becahse they hated anything that was new.

I feel super sad thinking that I will never get that feeling again of when I was a 12 yo kid and got this game on launch , rushed home to play it and experienced the masterpiece it was for the very first time. Watching a bunch of youtube videos every day from my favorite creators to check out what's the meta, testing out different scorestreaks, playing tranzit for the first time (even though it was ass, I still had fun until I realized it was ass), grinding for levels to be the first prestige master among my friends, grinding for camos. God I wish I could feel that way again just one more time.

bo3 was my favorite it just had everything good streaks, good movement, good weapons, good maps, the best zombie mode, free cosmetics in chests, emblem editor, good playercards and camos, no sbmm, good specialists. even if you go back to bo3 now its still good unlike bo2 which just feels nostalgic

If you’re garbage at the game don’t call everything you dislike “buggy”

I was a squeaker when this game came out, but my god I absolutely loved this game. The first cod game I truly sunk my teeth into and I remember all of the Vanoss videos and I loved them. I absolutely loved zombies, especially buried, mob, and origins. Although I made all the worst decisions in the campaign, I found it fun too. Not just going through random sections and killing people every mission. Also the story was so fascinating. Multiplayer was absolutely amazing too with great maps like hijacked and Nuketown, as well as Slums, Raid, Grind, Rush and so many more fantastic maps. Although there are other games in contention for my favorite in the series, my childhood memories with this game will always make it my favoirte

bo2 didnt even feel futuristic back then, i thought it was modern day too 😭

God I miss the guns, especially the snipers, shotguns, and pistols.
