I visited My Blue Heaven in early September 2023 and it was locked then too. I think it may have gotten closed to the public sometime in 2022.
It's privately owned now according to the sign on the door, crazy stuff.
Thank you for the ride along it was totally enjoyable 👏👏👍
Thanks, it was sure a fun trip 😀
I've been all over this nation and there's no place more beautiful than the Pacific Northwest and anybody that says different is never been here
That was Awesome video trip..loved it❤️💓💗👌👌👌
Glad you liked it!! It was a really fun trip.
Super glad that the rattle was just the heat shield! I was worried you had to head home! Good stuff as always! The last section of that road up to Burnt Knob LO looks pretty gnarly for a stock Yeep! Time for a lift and some 37s...or 40s! 😁 Thanks for sharing this journey with us! Happy Trails!
Thanks 👍it was sure a fun trip, part 3/3 is being edited and ready to download soon 😀
Enjoyed your video. If you have not read it, look up the book titled “Indian Creek Chronicals ”. It was written by a young man who spent the winter keeping the salmon channel open..
It's nice seeing you guys enjoying the idaho back country in your retirement. Wife and I are going on 49 years of marriage. We live in northwest Wyoming. We explore as much back country as we can during the short summer season. Would love to ride idaho again. Spent time in Elk city back in 2011. Might have to join you guys on a future exploration. Take care.
All of North Idaho is so beautiful 😍 hopefully going to get out again soon ourselves 😊
Dana, how do you like the metallic shine through the Tangerine Twist? And did you consider the Illusion Orange but opted for the Tangerine because of a slightly more reddish hue? At 16:27, I see the rich orange hue which looks spectacular as the end result. I am going to have a steel mountain bike frame built up with either the Illusion Orange (or maybe Illusion Tangerine) or Illusion Raspberry. Thank you for the video. Interesting that you have all the stuff needed to apply your own powder coating!
😊 Try using the new clear with metal flake in it also, boy what a sparkle ✨️
@@danaheath7671 Thank you!
Awesome drive. Beautiful area. How was the home made pizza? Maybe some day I'll be there. Thanks.
😅 Got gas in Avery and they talked us into burgers 🍔 so no pizza 😢
I used to live in Idaho back in the early 70s. Takes me back. I watched all 3. Blessings to ya
Thanks, glad you enjoyed them 😀
Beautiful country reminds me a lot of Colorado Rocky Mountains
Nice video. Wow, you need more snow up yonder. We just got a Can-am 2 up. But, we don’t have tracks but can still ride a lot around here in the foothills in winter. Happy wheeling!
Great video, thanks for sharing.
Great video! Looks like a great day of riding
Have not been to elk city in a long time !
We camped in the same campsite about one week earlier, very nice spot, enjoying your video. We were there in two Ford Model T’s, we went to the top of Burn’t Knob lookout, rough road, but fun. Take care
Ya that Burnt knob road is something else. We took our Jeeps up there about 10 years ago but what a view for sure.
Beautiful ride bro how's that atv trailer in bush ? Thx
Two long trips with the single axle Boski and not a single bad thing to say about it. Absolutely love the trailer 😍
Is there a chance you could share with me your route for this trip
Pretty much everything is on the videos. We unloaded up on the end of the Selway where the rafters take out, and went into Elk City and took the Mcgruder Corridor road to Darby, Mt. Get a map from forest service and enjoy 😊
hi Dana, you mentioned you purchased your 90 sec tent from Amazon. What is the name of it?
10:15 would be dry creek.
What a beautiful sight to wake up to seeing that deer come that close was great another great video would love to see more of the trail riding on the videos but still great videos
Another great video
Loved the video would have liked to see more of the riding though but other then that looking forward to more videos God bless and safe riding
Great Video, we are planning on visiting Idaho next year, but probably more the souther side, but riding looks awesome.
Great combination, nice 4 wheeler and big buck. I will be trying for whitetail this year for the first time. I live in SE Idaho but plan to head north for the hunt. Will be headed up on the 13th of November. Any advice? By the way I do an ATV channel too. Love to ride
The Bucks up here start ruttin about the 3rd week in November. Make sure and bring a Can call and rattling horns, they work well.
Got to have one of those tents
Yep, boy it goes up fast and just as easy to take down. Around $ 300 on Amazon.
Thinking about our morning hunt on 9/1...just took the wrong path. Looking forward to next week!
Great video but....... The Selway is in Idaho. :)
Have you ever seen a bigfoot? I am fascinated with the phenomenon. I have never seen one but I totally believe they're out there.
Back in 70's pretty sure I may have seen one was just to far away to be 💯.
So beautiful up there great video..thanks for sharing ❤️
Thanks, it was sure a fun trip 😀
Had no idea there was such a place to ride......good info...
Great video. Looks like an enjoyable ride. I'd like to make that trip someday. Got to ask what was the trouble you were having with the Can-Am. No fun breaking down in the middle of nowhere when you are traveling as a solo machine.
Still not sure. It started giving me problems 3 weeks before the trip. Replaced the fuel sensor, fuel pump and starter relay and was still dying. Last computer code said check key, so took it to the Can-Am dealer and had a new key made and made it 50 miles and died again. After dying 10 times the second day it ran fine the next 4 days..Go figure
Awesome film clips
That was pretty cool
Hi Dana and Patti! Thank you so much for sharing your trail videos. Happy adventuring 🙂
Thanks so much, we sure do enjoy it 😊
Read your bio and I think that's awesome 😎 i am a 39 year old male who hopes to retire and do the same some day.
Thanks, we sure do enjoy it 😊
Ya🎉🎉
Nice machine, have fun in the snow. I'm looking to buy some this spring. Thanks for the video
That was fun to watch! Thanks for sharing your fun adventure.
Did you use a tuner?
No, runs just fine without a tuner, no heating problems at all.
does this slip on work for any can am atv over 650?
Not 100 % sure of that. When you order one it will tell you which models it fits.
Yes it will fit a can am 650
compared to tires, how much more fuel does it burn with the tracks?
Just about twice as much on the 1000R. Can get about 80 miles with tires on and only 40 miles to the tank in deep snow ❄
It sucks being the last man out for the cabin is pretty quiet it got a tv now and the whiskey last longer but the memories sometimes hurt
Thanks so much, this getting old stuff really sucks at times!!!
Condolences to you and your family. Looks like y'all had some great times together! Rest well, Ralph!
Thanks so much!!!
I just love this Dana! And I loved Ralph. RIP old friend!
Thanks so much Sue.!!!

Nice! Looks like a good time! Congrats on the 1st elk! "Thankful and grateful"...raising the boys right! 👍🥰
Thanks 😊
Would like to contact you on some advice of what to take if that's ok
No problem
What's easiest way to contact you... lost your post here forgot to save it took forever to find it again lol
Also... did you buy your trailer or build it?
@@johnfuller2291 We bought the ATV wagon at our local Car lot here in Troy. It comes in two sizes. This one was the smaller one of the two. Perfect size for two people travelling.
Would love to do that trip next summer... we've been talking about it for ever but covid hit and didn't get to go but next year come he'll or high water we are going
I know that feeling, wanted to go couple years ago and the drought hit and was over 100 degrees for 12 days and to hot to be pulling a trailer. Then they closed the woods down.
It’s a bear. For sure. Some of more lighter reddish neck or shoulder - even the black bears. My vote is bear. The Bigfoot I saw was black black fur, at least 10 feet, flat wide face, eyes widespread and it’s eyes glowed red. It could not be mistaken for any kind of bear. It wasn’t even close.
That's my guess too, been hunting my entire life and never found a track yet.
Nice video with the new GoPro! 👍 Should we be concerned about the intruder at 3:24?! He looks a little questionable.... 🤣😂 I'd have a dozen trail cams if I could just so I could watch the critters all day like the ones by the pond! Priceless! Y'all are livin' the good life! Good luck on the hunt! Oh...and I have a little freezer space available if you need to unload some extra elk meat... 😁
Haha, definitely need a Elk this year with the price of Beef. Got a nice cow Elk year before last and boy was she good eaten.
