dd audio 508 d2 is a dual voicecoil subwoofer in the 120$-150$ price range . In my opinion , after testing several subwoofers this one has the cleanest and lowest bass ,packed in a small sub with 10mm xmax / 64 mm xmech. What do you recommend doing when building a custom ported enclosure when i dont have t/s parameters, just frequency in manufacturer enclosure (30). If i build the box too big, will the sub exceed its xmax? I'd think if i make the box bigger, the low end frequencies will be more enjoyable even if the sub is dirt cheap and old, im just afraid playing low in bigger box will cause the subwoofer to fall out or distort.
if you are building a subwoofer you can check this link ddaudio.com/support/dd-box-design/ (down where it says dd box size charts ) some (small,medium,big) dimesnsions for different sizes , but if you are building a loudspeaker , i can t really reccomend because they are more particular and require pretty precise sizes .

Hello, sorry for late answer , i bought a pioneer ts-a250 s4 and i can confirm that this cw650 sub sounds a little better than the pioneer .Considering the price u can hit a lot of notes , not so good under 36-37

I did some free air test on my gg jbl charge 3 and i accidentally bottomed them out once and it messed them up they are fragile
