Oh my god, I remember that XD The very first time it happened to me, I had no idea Sonic could drown during that sequence, and just sat there and waited for the next level to begin XD These days, I don't even bother with the sign post for that miniboss, and just keep dashing over and over so he goes up the walls and doesn't drown XD
