This tricone roller bits core barrel is used to cut an annular groove in the hard rock formation, which ucs above 80MPa, in high CR or RQD, it can start to use from UCS above 60 MPa, after cutting the annular groove for 1 m around, if it can be extracted directly, then we will need coring barrel, which specially designed to break the rock core efficiently, some contractors using rock drilling buckets or crossing core barrel, the drilling cost will be increased greatly in this way(of course, if the rock core is highly weathered we can use the drilling bucket directly, not recommend to use roller bit core barrel.)
