Both scales do not have a certificate of conformance and needs to be one solid platform where the entire fits (cannot be split weighed). For instance if you are weighing tractor trailers you need to purchase a 70'x11' truck scale. That would be like the OP-100 from Optima Scales. This model is NTEP approved (Legal for trade) as this scale has a COC number (certificate of conformance) to be used in commercial applications. The max capacity on this system is 5,000 lb and if your chute is 3,000 lb that leaves you 2,000 lb to weigh animals. What we suggest is our 10,000 lb capacity instead of the 5,000 lb. Have you tried holding down the "HOLD" button to see if that takes you into the F1 parameter setting?

@@primeusascales2999 I have not tried that, but I will be back in the area where that particular customer is located tomorrow and will definitely try it. There are a lot of different brands of scales that have the same button layout, so I tried procedures from some of the other brands I'm familiar with, with no luck, but didn't think about holding any one particular button down. Would I be correct in assuming that the parameter layout is the same as the newer software versions? Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi Brock, that is a great question. If the entire pallet jack is not loaded on the scale it will show a weight, but accuracy would be affected. By taking a measurement of your pallet jack you will find out if a 4'x4' platform would be the right fit. We also carry sizes: 4'x6', 5'x5', 4'x8', 5'x7', and many other sizes for pallet jacks.
