Episode #9- Meimei Weston (Harvard Athlete, Rowing)
Such a great episode. I am from UK and my mission is to bring "risky play" back to swimming lessons as I really feel that teaching water wisdom will help the drowning statistics which are not going down. They are in fact increasing :-( I would love to chat to you more about this subject if this is something you would be interested in? Thank you to Dr Brussoni and Dr Beno.
Thank you for your comments! Please feel free to email us at dpowell@chfi.fit :)
This Professor named Mariana Brussoni seems to have minor psychiatric disorders! The way she talks is very aggressive and cannot suppress her emotions, anger, and anxiety! Risky play is just a poor topic!
I truly hope that Canadian youth will be more motivated to move more and play outside healthy bodies = healthy minds. Adults have to lead by example.
Are there any male researchers on the UBC lab team? I do not see any. Half the polulation of children are male. A diversity of genders would be logical.

18 minutes ago Thank you Tommy Europe for your advice and inspiration! So many gems, even if some were just reminders, about our fitness journeys, along with interesting anecdotes from the sports and movie worlds. And yes, I work out with my wife! We share a trainer once a week and often go to a gym at the same time, do a stationary ride together and then do our own thing on weights and stretching - yes just getting it done!
