Fender Vibrotone Clone
Переглядів 2808 років тому
Here is a Fender Vibrotone Clone I made. The Tremolo came out of a console organ, I used period Fender parts, speaker is a stock CTS 8" sound very similar to a 8" Jensen, warm sounding with fairly early breakup. I used a Dr Fishsticks motor controller. 16"x20"x12deep only 29lbs

Chasetone Wah Buffer

Chasetone Wah Buffer played through different Fuzz Faces
The v846 and the Chase Tone were perfect
That Clyde needs a pot gear adjustment, it sounds like it's been rotated way past the sweep middle point where you're getting no treble from it.
Great video! Not enought of a difference for me to worry about. I have a 1990's V847 reissue without the AC jack and it has a black round inductor
Really liking that King Wah.
After reevaluation of your 1968 Clyde Script wah, I can see what I believe to be a worn out gear track retainer loop that is causing your pot gear to not rotate correctly to get a full sweep. That Clyde should easily put the other wahs to shame as I have a 1967 Clyde that sounds exactly like the ones Hendrix & Clapton used (like Burning Of The Midnight Lamp & White Room). At one point a couple years ago my retainer (which in 1967 thru 1969) were made out of a much softer vinyl-like material instead of the harder nylon & I found that I had the same condition you seem to have with yours... The gear jumped a few teeth causing me to lose sweep. I had to make a new retainer out of nylon & it works perfectly now. Check to see that you are at almost full rotation (to the high frequency side) by loosening the retaining screw & pulling the gear track away while the wah is in full toe-down position. I bet yours is off at least a few teeth.
Hello, do you still having this uni-vibe? Maybe if you have can you send some photos from the inside?
They should all be on separate A/B circuits
I will stick with my Behringer equipment.
wow your Clyde McCoy is weak.
Bought in '68 V 846 stolen in '74 along with 1st issue CBS 4 colour (Black Red Yellow clear wood) Sunburst rosewood fingerboard Strat in Black Case Fender. Not happy.
it looks like your guitar cable is going into the left side of the Wah wtf?
so put the Wah first like you said hendrix did, no squeal.
Notice you get cleaner tone as you move down the line? Because there is less tone suck as you go down the line, the modulated signal is degraded less as you go down the line closer to the amp...would love to see each by itself
trash can for me
3 tone sucking pedals going one into the other, signal well and truly degraded hitting that crybaby
stevepmx thank you
Crybaby sounded best what's that buffer thing added if it's already true bypass?
so when multiple effects are plugged in, they dont interact with eachother electronically. see how when the last wah (it's buffered) is demo'd actually retains the high mid character and the treble? and it is slightly louder, apparently. it has to do with impedance, iirc... not sure exactly cause im fairly new to all of this.
Nice !!
Excellent tone
Which resistor value does the trim pot replace ?
Pretty cool. What amp do you use?
Nicely done!
Great Hendrix tone. Lovely feel on Hey Baby...
