You're not the smartest person, are you? They needed the shark still to remove the hook from its mouth. They couldn't do it in the water because he couldn't get it in a grasp and they didn't have a net so he only could've pulled it on deck by tail. If they had simply cut the line and left it, the shark would have a hook left in its mouth. They did the shark a great service.

Hey man! 4-6 might be a bit low. I was just so lucky here. We caught another tuna that was 55kg. Pe6 definitely wouldn't have landed that. I recommend a PE8-10 rod. Like penn slammer or assassin or shimano Grappler. You will need a big reel that can handle 100lb braid. Im using Saragosa 14k and it did feel a bit weak for the size of tunas there. I honestly don't know. I took a few from the guy on the boat. They were tiny superstrong like high carbon steel hooks. They fish in a very weird method. They wait for the tuna to completely swallow the livebait then they set the hook IN THE GUTS, then they remove it with super long pistol grip pliers.

U fortunately YES. It is really over fished. Been to 3 boat trips and caught nothing. Not even a bonito. That never happened to me anywhere in the world. I was only lucky with this one after trying for like 5 or 6 days. I had another strike from a huge houndfish but lost it under my foot. It was the same spot. Good luck. Let me know how it went

Dont repeat my mistake. I hooked a GT. Didnt last 1 min. My setup was sooo light. I lost the fish, the lure and half of my line after it spooled me 😅 You need to have a heavier setup definitely

Thanks I got lots of cornet fish and also some squid and small baracuda seen some gt but like you say need heavy setup I go back 11 of January

No you dont need one. Most hotels wont allow u to fish from shore. So u need to find any remote area thats not owned by a hotel or something and cast from there.
