But I believe it NEEDS to be espoused) Kind Sir Tony Scott; I believe this: when it comes to marriage on this earth; compared to the New Heaven...(Which is going to being very soon)...Let us see what Jesus said on marriages; with a woman and her 7 husbands... Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. That tells me, that the New Heaven; is "NOTHING" of this old Earth. In other words, it will be so different; we'll never remember it! Of ANY thing that happened. Because, we'll be Angels forever. And far different! Thus, i believe this: it will be so "Beautiful, incredible and Awesome", Etc, etc and ETC: that we could've never; seen on this earth of it's 6,000 long yrs! Now, Could I be Wrong? ABSOLUTELY YES! But all the others Could be Wrong too! So I end, me case... ...In any case John Scott and Brethren, Please Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. Marriage is nothing more than a legal contract binding you to your partner. You have to remember that the part in the bible where Jesus was talking about being "neither married nor given in marriage" at that time in history, a husband had to pay a bride-price for his wife and her father would then "give" her in marriage. She didn't really have a choice in any of this and she was usually substantially younger than her husband to be (usually early teens) and women weren't legally allowed to leave marriages, it was up to the husband. It was a contract. It was not based on love/romance. In some cultures BOTH the boy and the girl were pre-arranged to be married so neither had a choice to choose who they would spend the rest of their life with, it was just random and pure luck if they got someone they liked. Adam and Eve were never married. They were not "married or given in marriage", God simply brought her to Adam and he loved her and that was that. They were loved and given in love. If things were the way God intended in the beginning (sinless) there would have never been any death and they would still be alive living forever and he wanted to populate the Earth through them. Adam and Eve were already _like_ the Angels. There are parts in the bible that talks about Christ's coming kingdom where little children will be playing with wild beasts in the field and calves and lions all eating straw together happily (they all have to be born somehow right?). Personally I don't think God is is someone to destroy something good (especially something like love) I think loving relationships we have established here on Earth will be enhanced, not broken up. Especially seeing that he is a God of love, *1Thessalonians **4:16* _"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words."_ - We are supposed to encourage each other with these words, telling someone they can't be with someone they loved on Earth in not comforting at all. And for those who say "We will be to busy serving God to care about anyone" that doesn't really make sense to me *Ecclesiastes 4:9* _"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor"_ - You can to a better job serving God as a team, sure you may not *need* them, but you may want *want* them and their help would be beneficial. And that's the way it originally was with Adam and Eve before they sinned. So it is my personal opinion that people will just be free to choose the person they want to be with and the relationship will be based pure on love and not a legal contract like ancient times.

The only marriage that will exist in heaven will be the marriage of Christ to his bride the church. That marriage will be better than the kind of marriage people have known on the earth. There will be no need for reproduction either, as the family of God will be complete.

This has been a concern for me because i have fallen in love with a widower, I know there's no marriage in heaven, and feel it's ok to remarry after a death but what if there were promises made to those who died
