However, research-based universities such as University of Washington is also a good option because of the countless opportunities for students who are interested in the STEM field. It depends on your learning style.

Depends on where you go. Harvey Mudd for example is a really strong engineering LAC. You just have to do your research though.

@@ahoodbaukr4747 I don't share my contacts but if you search engineering programs at liberal arts colleges you will find both colleges with their own major and colleges with partnerships to provide 3-2 or 2-1-1-1 engineering programs. This list blog.collegevine.com/top-liberal-arts-colleges-with-engineering-programs/ is a place to start but you'll want to look into each school a bit more.

Hi Sasha, sometimes your school might not have an existing study abroad program in Jordan but you might be able to look up study abroad programs online. Hi Jarquees, yes, UW have amazing biology/botany programs. In recent years, the campus has built new and remodeled nearly all their biology and life science buildings with state of the art features. The new greenhouse is also amazing. You can also check out the popular UW Botanic Garden to learn more about what the campus has to offer.

Hi Ten Zin, not every student at UW will be competitive. I would say there are certain majors or programs at UW that has a greater culture of competition because of limited capacity in that major. But there are also many people who are supportive on campus.

Hi Gerardo, I'm one of the staff members at Hey Mentor. The average cumulative GPA during high school of UW Seattle applicants are 3.7-3.8 however we encourage everyone to apply because there are many students with 3.1 GPA who are admitted each year as well. I recommend that you talk about any factors that contributed to a lower GPA because admissions do factor that in.

I got in with a 3.2 but my college gpa was a lot higher as a running start student

@@everuby9202 Hi Eve, thanks for sharing. Yes, UW will weigh your college GPA more significantly than your high school GPA since your RS courses are the most recent courses you've taken and it's also at the college level.
