The longsword guy should work on moving in two directions while throwing many of their shots. Moving laterally and forward instead of just back will help by being harder to block and provide a fluid defense with the motion away from the center line. Love to see another longsword enthusiast on the field!

Very cool! The range on that sword was giving the guy in black some issues but he had the right idea closing the distance with his shield and smothering the "shining knight" guy. Does it hurt when you get clonked on the head like at around 0:45?
The helms are padded with percussion tactical pads so hurt no -- does it ring your bell a bit? yup.
I come from boxing, so forgive my ignorance but with this sport why isn’t there a lot of lateral movement? Or is there and I just don’t see it here.
There generally is but this practice had a lot of people fighting and watching so there wasn't a lot of travel room around.
Wow.. I hope that gentleman in the plate watches this footage.
