I love this song because to me it feels like it’s filled with anxiety trying to resolve something internal like trying to deal with self doubt or self hatred in a depressive episode; it starts calm gets progressively more vile and then settles again on a loop back and forth like the waves. If anyone knows the scene, to me it feels like sang in the sprit world being confronted by Koh the face stealer; this idea of having to stay calm on the face of outstanding danger as your emotions surge

They Are Billions taught us that a great theme for hordes is important and the music in TaB is great. This theme in Age of Darkness proves once again how important such good sound tracks are because this sounds absolutely fantastic. The chorus, this part here at 3:12 and later at 5:35.
