Shame about all the photos making Hemsworth look mucky with you using an " artistic" filter

I believe the image at 2:57 shows my great-grandparents (standing far left and far right) as they were heavily involved in trying to help the miners' families at the time. So proud of them.

Was born in Hemsworth 1950 went to southmoor Road infants school, Mr. BREWINS St Helens junior school, remember Miss Bell teacher. Then on to West End secondary school, think head was Mr Caulfield. Wakefield tech from there. Married at St. Helens Church on t Hill. Remember Mr Sawyers newsagent on cross hills and catching bus to work at the Blue Bell or United bus that came from South Elmsall. Notice that Tommy's is still very popular, sad to see the market on kirkby Road is being demolished, anybody remember the pet shop had a myna bird.
