I'm Tina, a small-town girl from Austria 🇦🇹 and a vegan minimalist 🌱 with wanderlust 🌍.
In July 2022 I quit my job to travel the world as a minimalist and to discover the most amazing vegan food out there.
Along the way I realised how much work editing is, so new videos are only out when I get around to it 🫣😅

You said you had only 3 period underwear. What do you do on the days other days of your period? Just use pads and tampons?
@@marysusansusan Luckily I always had a very short period. Since this video I had to change my contraceptive for medical reasons and now I don’t get a period anymore at all, so now I don’t even take these period underwear anymore
Too happy finalky found a superlightweight hot hair miniature comb which claims to curl too. Has usb cable so dont have extra big and heavy Uk plug!! Looks to weigh about 200 g max..cant wait to use it. Ussd to lag around what was available a duo curler straightener but was way too cumbersome.. and weighed. As long as my hair s ok so am I
I hope it works 🙂
Shame hope it got nicer. Tgat s ehat they dudnt say qbout Mexico .oh just go there they dont have winter..yes but they have seaweed everywhere in low season plus rain and hurricanes!!!!!
I’ve never been to Mexico, I’d love to go one day 😊

Finally! Tips about being warm on winter with still with a pop of color!
Such a wonderful day my daughter and I had on this tea bus. So glad we went and highly recommend you try it!!
@@LindaWandel-q3s I’m glad you enjoyed your bus tour 😊
I love how colorful your travel wardrobe is.😍
@@BibbyVelum1 thanks 😊
Thank you for sharing this list, going there in a week and looking forward to trying a few
@@innpursuitofhappiness I hope you have a great time in Vienna 😊
Is that backpack good for city? Thanks. I love design with no labels. Awesome
Please could you try to describe the food when eating to make the video more interesting
I love this. I prefer to wear neutrals myself, with the occasional pop of colour, but that's just bcos I *like* to blend into the background. But I do dislike how so many travel minimalists *only* have neutrals in their wardrobe 🥱😴 and I love seeing people who really mix it up We should all be different
@@susie9893 thanks 😊 that’s what I thought too, so I made the video to show that it’s also possible to travel as a minimalist when you don’t just have neutral clothes 😀
@@veganderlust although, a wardrobe consultant would probably say that you use that mustard colour and denim as your base colours and that's why you're able to create a versatile but coherent look. It's clever
@@veganderlust also, so many people have become sold on the neutral wardrobe bcos they think this will shield them from pickpockets. But I kinda feel like neutrals have become the tourist's uniform now - it's certainly what I think now when I see someone wearing neutrals only - especially that several shades of grey look
@ that’s interesting, I never made that connection, but might be right 🙂
This makes me feel a lot better about my packing choices. I've been getting down on myself a bit for doing 'carryon only' in severe cold. But you took more than I did and much milder weather. Have you considered bamboo joggers instead of those massive happy pants? I realise you love those pants but bamboo joggers are much more versatile (get the right 1s and can even wear to a restaurant) and SO much more comfortable
@@susie9893 I hope you have a great winter trip 😊 Thanks for the tip. Do you have a favourite brand for bamboo joggers? I’ll look into them 🙂
@veganderlust I'm Aussie so I'm not sure you can access our brands, but I like a company called B free
@ thanks, I’ll look that company up and I’ll have a look at similar ones in Europe 🙂

@@dagnolia6004 I’m not showing all the toiletries I use in the video, I’m just talking about ways how I managed to minimise my toiletries 🙂
🛁 Perfect! 😂🥰👍🏻 I have tried bar shampoo and find it really hard. I am still trying to convert. I have to use apple cider vinegar diluted in water to make it happy again. So if you could share some hair tips, that would be great. Altho - I do have curly hair. I find I still have to use a mask after my once a week wash… but the jar lasts a VERY long time, so that is decreased plastic. I have not found a conditioner I like - but I have only tried one. 🤷🏼♀️🤔
@@lynneeie5226 😊 I’ve heard great things about washing hair with apple cider vinegar, but I haven’t tried it myself yet. Unfortunately, I don’t really have any hair tips as I just wash and brush my hair, usually I don’t even use conditioner 🫣. My hair is pretty uncomplicated, it just gets greasy if I use the wrong shampoo.
@veganwanderlust Ok 😊 & no I meant I have to use the bar soap & then a rinse with diluted ACV because the soap makes my hair mat/tangle and the ACV helps make is smooth. Has to do with pH & the scales on the hair shaft apparently and over my head - but it makes it more complicated. However - I will be trying it and I think I will try a gel from boiled flax seeds (just tbs in cup of water, boil few min for anyone reading & strain) as that has helped. And for a once a week hairwash, I can make the effort for the sake of some plastic reduction. Am wondering if the flax seeds will replace my mask tho 🤔 We shall see! 🤷🏼♀️😊. But I was hoping you knew of some shampoo bars that were easier on the hair - BUT I live in Norway and some are hard to find here. So I will explore that 😊
@@lynneeie5226 sorry I misunderstood 🫣, I only know some people who only use ACV, interesting to try out the combination of shampoo and ACV. And I’ve never heard of flaxseed for the hair, that sounds very interesting 🤔 Yeah, I usually just buy a shampoo bar in whatever country I am at the moment and they have very different ones in each place 🙂 Norway is actually one of the few countries I haven’t visited yet in Europe, but it’s definitely on my want to see list 😊
@@lynneeie5226 I have curly/ highly textured hair and when I using conventional hair products, I tried the brands Ethique and HiBar. Ethique has a set that is specifically for curly hair, and for HiBar I used the fragrance-free moisturizing set. Both worked pretty well since they're formulated specifically for textured hair. These may ship to Norway. I currently do mostly water-washing (I don't use hair products in-between rinse, I just let the sebum coat the hair) and it's been working. Eliminated all hair products and some scalp issues I was having. Could be worth looking into, though, I live in a tropical climate. I don't know how well it works in cold climates
How kind and thank you 😊 I will look into these 😊😊
🤭 Melbourne, Australia.
Great video from in your bath tub🙂 I like a multi-purpose oil - for moisturising my body, hands, feet and face, but also for removing mascara (which I wear quite a bit). A 100 ml bottle (in your carry-on bag) lasts a long time, and it can be refilled to minimise buying new plastic containers... I bought a shampoo and a conditioner bar, but cannot remember which is which now🙈
@@_gormenghastaghast yeah, I thought what better place for a toiletry video 😂 That oil sounds cool! Which brand it is? Oh no 😅 I’ve found that conditioner bars don’t lather that much, but maybe it was just the brands I tried 🤷♀️
Tina. I think you are my twin, although agewise probably more like your mum! 😀 We sing from the same hymn sheet. Great video! I am nearly 60 and I think my face is holding up ok with zero skincare routine. I don't think I'm wrinkly! I think the more you strip your skin of natural oils, the more chemicals you need to rectify it. My philosophy is your skin is an organ. It knows what it's doing. Just leave it alone as much as possible! We have all been duped into buying this stuff we don't need! The one thing I do have is Nuxe Heuille Prodigeuse. It's a face, body and hair oil. I mainly use it to condition my hair as I have failed to find a solid conditioner that works but it works for face and body too should I need it, but I mostly don't. That means I don't need body butter!
@@christinet50 that’s so cool 😊! I didn’t know you’re almost 60, wouldn’t have guessed from the pictures. (My mum actually turns 60 soon too, in January 😄) Thanks for the recommendation 😊 I’ve never tried hair oil before, I’ll check it out!
@@veganderlust No particular brand for the oil - I usually look for one with argan, sweet almond and/or jojoba oil. Ah thanks for the tip withe the shampoo/conditioner bars- I'll see if one lathers more that the other.
Very nice review! I also like that you discussed how it fits under seats & the heat of it on your back. I have a backpack but this seems like a good one!

@@hectorwerlang6255 I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Are you going to Vienna soon?
If travellering to NZ beware, if you do any internal flights the weight limit is 7kg. Very strict, and they often weight your bag. This will probably apply to most airlines in Australia.
@@jilly5950 thanks for the tip 😊 I’ve actually never had my my personal item sized bag weighed on any flight 🫣😅
Where do you leave your things if you swim alone? And in air bnb are there safeboxes? Can you do a summer winter minimal pack please?
@@lbunnygordon1133 I’ve been wanting to buy a dry bag for ages now, where I can put my valuables in and take them into the water with me. But so far, I don’t have one, so I only go into the water for a quick dip and I keep looking back for my things, it’s not the best solution though. I have never had an Airbnb with a safe box, I only take ones with good reviews and so far nothing was ever stolen. I definitely should, but so far I’ve only done packing videos about actual trips and unfortunately, I don’t have any planned which contains both summer and winter. The closest is probably my very first packing video, but it’s more summer/fall and not really winter. But I’ll think about making a video even without a specific trip I’m doing
Nice but not my style why always minimalism is not fashionable? :C

Great video and nice to have the tip about booking tickets. I am going next week so I will book mine today!
@@bilingualbackpacker hope you have a great time in Seville 😊
I was in Belgrade 2 weeks and is an interesting city. I keep google about if there are Uber or a cab app but for some reason there wasn’t a clear answer but, the answer is yes. There is an app called pink taxi and works great, is very similar to an app for cabs in Slovenia. A word of advice, do not use the taxi service at the airport because they are trying to scam you. A taxi ride to the city center form airport may cost around 20 to 25 euros. A taxi cab driver from this airport service was trying to charge me 50 euros which is a complete scam.
I am using this backpack for almost a year now. this is the best backpack I've ever had. it's super comfortable, super lightweight, and has really great capacity. it's unbelievable how much stuff you can carry with it. I have the black cordura version, and I am also using it for everyday use as much as for all my travels. what I don't like, the main compartment is not full clamshell. there could've been two interior mesh pockets inside instead of one. one more underneath the one that we already have. I would also like to have small velcro panels, one inside, and one outside for some personal customization. maybe something similar to what evergoods does in their bags. I found carry is super comfortable, and I think no matter what backpack you are having, you just cannot escape from sweat. one thing annoys me more, in rain straps are getting wet fast, and they stay wet for some time. I had to walk around with wet straps on my shoulders a couple of times. it's not really great for walking under the rain... I think this bag can become (if not already) the perfect backpack in the third version if they can do some good improvements. I also want to say that able carry is a great brand. I like their other stuff as well. I recently bought stash pouch, and joey pouch, check them out as well. I think you would like them if you don't have them already. able carry also participates in the %1 initiative for the environment, and I really appreciate that. it's good to know that the brand I use every day, also shares the same values as I do. I am very happy to see that there's someone else is out there loves this backpack as much as I do.
@@ernestbonanza thanks for your detailed review of the backpack 🙂 That’s interesting about the wet straps, I didn’t realise since it never rained on my last trip.
What about escape from sweat with Osprey? They have special strap system.
@@Pauli669-o8b I have osprey radial 34. it's one of the biggest disappointing bag I have ever had. half of the bag is bulk weight, and has serious sweat problems. I still think osprey is a much better brand than the ones such as fjallraven, but it's my kind of brand tbh, I'll pass.
I love your wardrobe & color scheme. It's so nice to see something that isn't all beige, white and black.

@@sunlight8299 thanks for the recommendation, I’ll give the reading sample a try 🙂 Haven’t been to IKEA in ages! But yeah you can get some pretty cool electronic bags which are great for organisation I talk about how I match my outfit colours in this video: ua-cam.com/video/KTS7hdRB85k/v-deo.html I personally hate to wash my clothes by hand and as I mainly do housesitting where we have a washing machine available for free I don’t have to wash my clothes by hand, but I’ve heard good things about the Scrubba bag, I hope you like it 🙂

both francesinha and pastel de nata are NOT vegan. francesinha has meat and egg, and pastel de nata has eggs. you should mention in the video that one would have to specifically search for vegan versions of these, which may be hard to come by, since their regular versions are not.

Sorry to be so pedantic... but calling a vegan Schnitzel a "Wiener Schnitzel" is a crime. Wiener Schnitzel is a protected heretic in Vienna and has to be made from veal. I mean ok eat Vegan but you would not make a croissant purely out of Meat and still call it a croissant unless you are truly insane and mad...
