A Drive under Rochester NY in the old Subway
A Drive under the City of Rochester in the Old abandon Subway system.
"Rochester subway was a light rail rapid transit line in the city of Rochester, New York, from 1927 to 1956. The subway was constructed in the bed of the old Erie Canal, which allowed the route to be grade-separated for its entire length. Two miles (3.2 km) of the route through downtown were constructed in a cut-and-cover tunnel that became Broad Street, and the only underground portion of the subway. The Rochester Subway was designed to reduce interurban traffic on city streets, and to facilitate freight interchange between the railroads. The line was operated on a contract basis by New York State Railways until Rochester Transit Corporation (RTC) took over in 1938. The last day of passenger service was June 30, 1956. Portions of the right-of-way were used for expressway construction, while the rest was abandoned and filled in over the years. The largest remaining section is a stretch of tunnel under Broad Street from Exchange Street to the intersection of Court Street and South Avenue."

Jimmy comes back from vacation to find a nice surprise. This worked out perfectly. I set this up 2 days prior and wired up my dash cam to power and loop record so it would catch this.

Ive been thru there. When I was a kid in late 80's early 90's. There was a gang called" FUA" From up above. My boy took me. They used to do a lot of tags but it wasn't fully tagged like that He died later on. His name was Jose burgos. Rochester was my home and loved it. Moved out of there 96 and I'm glad cuz almost all my boys are dead or half dead. Grew up on Roy Croft Dr. I went to school #17, Thomas Jefferson Middle School and Benjamin Franklinbb high School.

I have a weird and interesting dream about this place. I used to visit there pretty much of the time, and I kept wondering if they will remodel and renovate with new lights, floors, painting fresh up, and everything changed to make everyone feel safe to visit there in the future. It would be so an awesome idea for the future as never know!

THE BOOK OF REVELATION and the sheep and the goats Revelation 6:8 8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. Revelation 20 The Thousand Years 20 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. 2 He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. 3 He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. 4 I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. The Judgment of Satan 7 When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-Gog and Magog-and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. 9 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. The Judgment of the Dead 11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. 14 Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. 15 Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 21 New International Version A New Heaven and a New Earth 21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” The New Jerusalem, the Bride of the Lamb 9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God. 11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal. 12 It had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. 13 There were three gates on the east, three on the north, three on the south and three on the west. 14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 The angel who talked with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city, its gates and its walls. 16 The city was laid out like a square, as long as it was wide. He measured the city with the rod and found it to be 12,000 stadia[c] in length, and as wide and high as it is long. 17 The angel measured the wall using human measurement, and it was 144 cubits[d] thick.[e] 18 The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass. 19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.[f] 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass. 22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it. 25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there. 26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it. 27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life. Matthew 25:31-46 New International Version The Sheep and the Goats 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ 41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’ 44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’ 45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ 46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

I have been down there a few times in the past. as early as the late '90s. But I've always walked. I have a truck now that has great off road lights on it. I'm talking like I would look like a f@$ing train down there. And to even make it even more fun I do have a train horn. I also carry a firearm. So no riff raff I have to worry about. But I will say that the artwork is amazing. I wanted to do a music video down there at one time. I would love to hear some other places in the city that are cool to check out. I remember going to the legal wall in the past. But it's now just a vacant lot of faded artwork.

Well, indeed I suppose so, but my father told me that many good companies moved out of the city to other states because Tim Ryan, Jr. who was the mayor and his father who was the executive director of Monroe County screwed up everything, so that is all I remembered what my father told me. So, he said that they caused a bad economy that caused the population to downsize for years. Now, the crimes there have been up which were not like years ago. I hope one day it will get “recovered”.

Rochester has always had a major crime problem. It’s all targeted crime though. It is now, it was then. From street gangs in the late 1800’s such as the cider gang, to the Sicilian black hand in the 1910’s, to the various bootlegging gangs and mobs in the 20’s, to the mafia from the 30’s-present, to the crack dealing gangs in the 80’s and 90’s, to the modern street gangs, there has always been tons of organized crime and violence. Ppl look back with rose colored glasses. Ppl dress and talk different, but their actions are the same. There’s not a ton of random crime. It’s mostly gangland murders, that are targeted at specific ppl, they knew the stakes when they got into that world. There are innocent ppl that get killed, just like everywhere, but the vast majority of violent crime in the city, is the same type of violent crime that has existed in Rochester for over 150 years.

Yes, I know. That is what my very good friend who moved to Las Vegas from Rochester two and half years ago mentioned. Actually I never walked under the subway tunnel in my whole life because I never thought of it, but my sister, some friends, and I walked downstairs to the subway station and everything inside really was very dark during the broad daylight hours, but we didn’t walk through it because it was as dark as very black just like a black out, but when we heard something strange like spooky or something and we ran on the steps upstairs to walk outside and we never went back there again. It was around 1973 or perhaps 1974. Oh, it was not in Downtown Rochester as it was somewhere on the west side of the city and I was 8 or 9 years old. Also, my father told me that there were a few murders in the 1970’s outside the subway station on Otis Street, just located behind big Tent City Department Store on Lyell Avenue.. My family shopped at Tent City store lots and a few years ago, I learned that it was closed for good. Too bad. Rochester used to be a cool and gorgeous city years ago, but now it sucks! I hope the city will get improved much better soon as it used to be. Oh well….
