G'day. That is one of the best stories I've heard in a long time. We have these creatures here in AUSTRALIA. They are called Vowies here. Quite a few years ago a friend and myself were camping in an old loging forest out the back of Taree. We stayed for a week. During our stay we noticed that there were lengths of PVC piping everywhere in the creek we were prospecting for gold. It became evident we were being watched. On the third day we decided to see if we were being stupid or something was keeping an eye on us. We walked up a bit of a hill on the logging road we were camped beside. At every turn in that road we expected to see someone or some thing in the road. Nothing. On our return to camp we decided to have a bit of a detect in the creek. My mate trundled off detector over his shoulder and I was standing in that logging road. Then I heard a strange noise. Can't explain that noise. Next 😊thing there was a very loud MOOOO. We knew there was no cattle for miles. As I was standing there a rock hit a very large tree to my left. My mate appeared out of the scrub. His face was fearful. I didn't tell him about the rock incident. We stayed close to our camp the rest of the day. A very pungent smell pervaded the area. Everywhere we went after that we could smell this weird smell. A day later we left that area. There is a story that I heard about an Aboriginie from a reserve near Taree. He was apparently as drunk as three people. He walked into the scrub near where he was living this was at night. In the morning he was found with his head ripped offen his body. The investigation concluded he was leaning against a log when something or some one very strong had found him and there was a bit of a scuffle and the man had thrown his empty wine flagon at what or whom was attacking him. That's when his head was ripped from his body. I love the stories of the big foot saving folks and befriending families and such. Ghost
