Yeah I’m not sure what happened with the mix on this one. Got it figured out for all future vids. in a bit of a conundrum because I deleted the original file for space and I’d have to signup for UA-cam premium to download my own friggin video. Also this is the best performing vid on the channel so far so it’s still helping people find the me as flawed as it is. If you check out the newer stuff you will find the mix is much better now.

It should! I would be very careful with NECA stuff. If it doesn’t feel like it’s loose just from the boil don’t pry at it. NECA plastics are generally brittle and break easily. The hot water should still work but it may take longer durations of soaking to be most effective on their types of plastics.

I want to get some of the Bandai kits. I haven’t seen any of the Astromech droid ones though.

I believe Bandai re-releases them from time to time, if I hear of them doing that I will let you know. Digging your channel! I’ve been wanting to do a Snoop Mandalorian for awhile now, your video got me motivated. I think I’m going to attempt it using the Mandalorian model kit as it comes parts for mando and boba fett, so I’m hoping it will work out pretty good!

@@craft3Dcreations Seems pretty good! Listened to the previous video again…. compared them. I think it was the low frequencies in the music overwhelming the voice. Seems better “balanced” this week!

I’ve thought about that. My earlier videos did not track well with audience retention. I’ve found that people tend to watch the vids longer if there is something in the background playing while I’m not talking. In parts where there is long breaks of time lapse most people just skip til the end. I’ll try and figure it out going forward. Still learning my way around the editing software.

Man the VO still low? I’ve got it cranked to 200% and the background music to 20%. The mix sounds fine on my tablet / TV. What kind of device are you listening on? Wondering if the issue is device specific?

@@craft3Dcreations Mostly over a Firestick, through a home theater stereo system. (I watch you on a huge tv 😂). Yamaha amp, Kilpch speakers. Set to stereo, not surround. I just checked it out on my IPad 9th Gen, and iPhone 11… it is a little easier to hear you on those, due to lack of bass frequencies I imagine. Certainly a better than some of the earlier videos. I’d say it seems like about a 50/50 mix to me. Be interested to hear one with the music at maybe 10%? Please take my comment as “negative criticism”, or a complaint. I really do love your work!

@@Shakes_The_CloneI’ll have to try and view it on my Roku and see if maybe the audio compression on certain streaming devices is messing it up. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try 10% next time for the BG music and see if that helps

@@craft3Dcreations 💯 Curious to see how 10% goes. (Edited to add) I just came across the Hondo figure I had “put aside” to follow your video on him… I “put him aside” the week you posted. 😂 My workshop is a black hole.

It should work on most forms of plastic. The softer the plastic the less heat and soaking time. I’m not familiar with Hiya stuff but I’ve been using this method for years across multiple toy lines.

Yeah I’m not sure what happened on this one. I think the file might be corrupted. On my end it sounds normal but when I upload it’s all messed up. I’m going to go back and try and fix this if I can figure out what’s wrong. The levels are set to my normal settings. Not sure.

That all depends on what figure you are working on. Some have a peg/ball joint and others might be connected if the figure has ab crunch. You may need a small flathead screwdriver to pop the seams on some joints if they are heat welded together.

Yeah I noticed that after I uploaded. It’s weird cuz it sounds fine on mobile / tablet when I rewatch on my side but seems the TV version the voice channel is lower.
