would you guys offer any other nematode testing in other greenhouse crops?
Yes, please contact SCN Diagnostics with your request. Email SCNdiagnostics@missouri.edu or call 573-884-9118
😅 love the squirrel picture! They literally look like that carrying off my tomatoes!
The herbicides from corn and bean fields are killing my garden and effecting trees! What are they doing to people and animals? What can I do?
Please contact your regional MU Extension Horticulture specialist to discuss: extension.missouri.edu/counties.
Thanks for sharing! Great video!
Word up.
Thanks my Blueberry plant I purchased from a nursery, I put it outside without hardening it off. Well the leaves purplish paint splatter in the middle of the leaves, while the outsides are crispy brown with the brown making its way to the center of the leaves, also the younger leaves towards the bottom of the plant had that water color look, I guess its called chlorophyl but not as purple as the older ones but still brownish on edges. Im just going to pull all the damaged leaves off, there is only like a few leaves on it. Cover with shade cloth at hottest parts of the day and just see what happens. Also noticed the stem isnt that normal grassy leathery green its more of a yellowing green.
If you would like to confirm your findings, you can start the identification process by submitting photos to the University of Missouri Plant Diagnostic Clinic: extension.missouri.edu/programs/plant-diagnostic-clinic/digital-sample-submission.
@@MUIPM WOW Thank you so much for this!!
There are two plants often referred to as "Moonflower" that produce very similar, white, night blooming flowers. All parts of Jimsonweed/Thornapple/Devil's Trumpet (datura stramonium) are extremely toxic (potential fatal) to many animals, including humans. It forms intensely spikey seed pods and has a bushy growth habit. Moon Glory/Moonvine (ipomoea alba) is mildly toxic to humans and other animals. It is a vining plant with smooth seed pods.
I enjoyed Garden hour today, especially the Tea Garden section!
I'd never enjoy a moon garden because the mosquitoes are awful here.
Very informative. Thank you!
Good video
I highly recommend Cocoras & to learn its grass roots history.
I was a Cocoras observer while working in our local Farm Service Agency office. I no longer am but until the last rainfall, for years posted in my Facebook page where people could post their rainfall totals. It educated people that ‘all farming & gardening are local’ as areas varied widely on rainfall amounts- even people next door to each other.
got a question. I have the herbicide drift. Will the toamtoee turn brown because of it? Thanks because I'm trying to get non with brown spots next year
Symptoms will depend on the type of herbicide and how much landed on the plants. Our MU Extension Plant Diagnostic Clinic may be able to assist further. Visit extension.missouri.edu/programs/plant-diagnostic-clinic for instructions on submitting samples.
Great chat!

HOW OFTEN TO WATER MY ZUCCHINI PLANT? I THINK I OVER WATERED!
The amount of water applied to a crop depends on the size of the plant and the weather conditions. The “screwdriver test” is a simple way to gauge soil moisture. Check out this article to learn how to gauge soil moisture and tips for watering your garden extension.missouri.edu/news/tips-on-watering-your-garden.
I just looked at a new farm for potential purchase. Of 350ac, approximately 200ac of it were completely taken over by sericia L. It broke my heart, as it is a beautiful property, but at this point, it would be a massive undertaking to get it back into grazable shape. It was an old dairy and had been essentially 'abandoned' as far as management is concerned. They were trying to graze it... but couldn't make it work. They are asking about 5X too much considering the quality of the property as it sits today.
Do you know where you can buy lavender that will grow in Missouri everything I have found is not Hardy for here
All lavender varieties, with the exception of Spanish, will be winter hardy to this area. Although winter hardy, lavender can be sensitive to wet winter soils and winter temperature fluctuations. To increase the chances of winter survival, protection such as a frost blanket can be helpful. For more info on lavender growing in Missouri, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/ERe0B-iuL-k/v-deo.html.
@Sara Mclaughlin We have not heard any reports that it escapes and behave badly. It tends not to be aggressive.
Great information, thank you!
Thanks for making this available anytime on UA-cam.
👍👍👍
Curtis shares a warehouse of information on the care and feeding and growing of albums. Easy to follow his directions. Love that he took the time to make this video for us to learn straight from the Farmer. I love it!
Can you do a video on tripple crown thornless. Lol. I feel they are a great berry. This video was excellent. Im ah blackberry hound lol. God bless.❤
Are lilac bushes affected by this disease?
Lilacs are not affected. This bacterial disease is very host specific and only affects plants in the Rosaceae family.
Wonderful chat! Great video!
Thank you Patrick. Watching from South Africa. Looking forward to planting 7 acres of strawberries and 20 acres of blueberries between now and Christmas plus 2000 blackberry plants. . We plant under Hail Shade proctetive nets but will have 2 10mx30 m second hand high tunnels for experimental purposes. Keep up the good work and we are hoping to get some U of Arkansas blackberry varieties from EMCO CAL in the near future

Hi Dear, I saw your UA-cam channel video and understood that Very nice video. You have 3.46K subscribers but videos are not more watched and subscribers because your video is not SEO. I have analyzed and realized that your UA-cam channel is not progressing and improving. It is responsible for: 1. Channel videos are not properly SEO 2. Videos are not reaching the people 2. There is no rank tag in the Video 3. Video SEO score is 10 out of 100 but SEO score should be 90+ to rank video 5. Channels tags not good quality 6. No video tag and other technical problems Do you want all the problems solved? I can help you.
Why not make an actual video??
10:37 min inoculated Sunn Hemp seeds work best for nitrogen fixation.

Great video!
Does this philosophy hold true for all breeds of cattle? Specifically Dexter?
The recommendations made within this video are intended for beef breeds. Given Dexter cattle’s small stature, the feed intake and average daily gain targets may be larger than what you would see if applied to Dexter cattle.
Great video ! After two years of providing a smorgasbord of different plants to the local deers, I decided to go with an electric fence. 5’ tall, 3 wire main fance with a single wire perimeter fence 4 feet on front of the main fence. So far not bad. My garden is surrounded by farm land, and there is a creek with some wooded area around it. Prime location for local deer to feed on my strawberries, blueberries and fruit trees. My heart was broken when I found out most of my blueberries “pruned “ by deer two weeks after planting. Now the electric fence seems to do the trick. Thanks for sharing such valuable information ! From Illinois / Wisconsin state line 😁
Thank you for this great video ! This is my second year growing blackberries, so I need to correct some of the mistakes I’ve made in the first year. So far I’m super happy about the support and amount of information I can get just by following your advice ! Thank you from Illinois / Wisconsin state line !
Thanks!!
Thanks guys!
