SALT TALKS - An Online Transition Series (S.A.L.T. - School to Adult Life Transition Series™) is a series developed to provide an online learning opportunity, along with the resources and guidance, to families of children with disabilities navigate the transition from school to adult life serving Butler, Greene, Montgomery and Warren Counties in Southwest Ohio.
These trainings are brought to you in collaborations through, Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Montgomery/Greene/Warren County Board of Developmental Disabilities & Local Leaders.

During this session, SALT TALKS spoke with representatives from SafeIn Home regarding remote technology and discussed living safely on my own using Remote / Assistive Technology.
* How does Assistive Technology work in the home?
* How is it funded? Is it user friendly?
* How easy it to use by the individual?
* What about privacy when being monitored?
* Can we talk to someone directly when a situation arises?
* What about unknown situations, how are they monitored? Example: Strangers coming to the door, leaving a kitchen stove burner on, Leaving the doors unlocked or forgetting to lock the doors when leaving, cooking, taking meds, etc....
