I love how Deva's giving "can I have a go on the bike??!!" vibes She seems very chilled about everything xx
I love when instructors praise and tell us how well we are doing and also help us when we feel a bit 😭
Such an exciting new chapter for you! It’s such a tough decision to make and when you can’t manage the pain with intervention you have certainly made the right decision. Luckily Pepe is ok with injections so I am able to keep him as a happy hacker (walk) and keep him comfortable but if there came a time where we couldn’t do this then retirement would be the best option xx
@@katytaylor5283 yeah I was hoping we could get to the point she was comfortable enough to hack but it wasn’t to be 😔 hope you’re well lovely x
You are much more determined than I because I would have retired her sooner in the investigation process. Wishing Roxy a long and happy retirement. Wishing you much happiness with your new horse 🐎
@@kippen64 I would have given anything for her to come right but sadly it wasn’t meant to be! Thank you 🤍
Such a shame about Roxy 😢 she looks very happy in her new home, thankfully! Your new horse is gorgeous!
@@Siobhan_Shivaun it was so so gutting but I’m hoping I’ve made the right choice for her!
@@Riding_roxy I'm sure you have, these things are never easy xx
Congratulations on your new horse. How old is Roxy? Having to make the same call with my horse.
@@Chanceequine she’s only 12 😔 it was a super tough decision but I think the right one for both me and her
Love your mare. She is awesome
Oh keep us updated ❤ really informative as always and thank you for sharing x
Thank you! Will do!
Your lessons are paying off
Thank you!! 🤍
Well done
I was horse mad as a child but no access to a horse! I had a go at riding aged 40 2 falls including concussion and that was me finished! I’m currently in pain from a slipped disc but oh I do enjoy watching your lessons. The comments are priceless. I’m actually laughing through the agony
Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that. That’s why it’s so annoying when people say it’s not a sport! They don’t see the risk
Little bit gross, but extremely interesting to see a horse's digestive tract! Glad they found something and she's getting treatment, be rotten to think she'd fasted for hours and there was nothing there!
Yeah it was a bit gross and I did consider it might be too gross to post but I also thought it’s super interesting and raises a bit of awareness surrounding ulcers!
That was super interesting but a bit scary. So glad that you were able to find the problems.
Very Good
Really enjoyed watching this vlog!! 🥰🥰 can totally relate to having favourite mugs 🤪
Thank you!! Always have my go to mug 😂
She was so, so good. Such a sweetheart.
She is such an angel! Super honest and looks after me bless her
That was fab! You did an amazing job! ❤
Thank you! We had lots of fun which was the main thing!
Well done!!! Fantastic, Roxy enjoyed herself 🌟🌟❤️ xx
Thank you love!
This was lovely! I was looking forward to seeing the vet and saddle fitter in action but i understand you might not have been able to record them! Looking forward to your next video! Xxx
How do you manage to canter for so long without a break. I’m dying well before rich says to have a walk and a breather 😂🙈
😂😂 and people try and say it’s not exercise!
@@Riding_roxy honestly 😂😭 would love to be on your level aha
It is never a failure. It simply shows where you have issues to address. Nothing is failure. That trot was too tough because you tried to stand on your toes. Instantly pushing the leg back. Stand into your heel ! All the weight down through the heel. The leg suddenly becomes stable. And waking in you could come with a loose rein and leg on or just sit quiet.
A fantastic video which was really interesting to listen to!
Glad you enjoyed 😊😊
I have severe emetophobia and I can totally relate to all of this ❤
It’s awful isn’t it, make you worried about having kids and stuff with potential morning sickness etc! Effects you in more ways than people think
@@Riding_roxy yep nightmare. Do you find if effects your riding ect
Only with jumping really, because when I get nervous I feel nauseous so it stops me from pushing myself more than I’d like to really
That was wonderful ❤ beautifully ridden as always xxx
Thank you lovely 🤍
So awesome to have a friend volunteer to video your lesson. Rich is such great value as an instructor.
He’s fab! Couldn’t recommend someone more
You are such a good rider!
Thank you that’s so kind!
Thanks for sharing your story-I very much relate to everything that you've said💕It's bloody hard work and such a challenge. Like yourself I understand the background of what I'm experiencing but even knowing that doesn't seem to alleviate the feelings-which is soo frustrating
So frustrating, I’m hoping one day something will work long term but for now I’ve just got to ride the wave
@@Riding_roxy same here, just got to keep pushing on💪
People look like their pets
What I saw, was not a fail. It was the first steps to conquering the task. Like most sports at least 50% is mind and how you think is what you’ll get.. try and always see the positive not the negative…
Yeah, I need to book a lesson cause my fears getting worse!
Anxiety can be really crippling. Edited to add that you can fix it. Life is not cured, it is managed. I am writing this as someone who also wrestles the anxiety monster. Check out Dr Phil McGraw's books. Discovering him was a huge help.
Thank you, I’ll give them a look! I don’t know if this was a bad time to make this video as I’m very deep in it currently
@@Riding_roxy I recommend 'Self Matters' and recommend reading it in bite size pieces so as to not get overwhelmed. The book is a bit wordy and didn't need to be so hefty.
Listening to your story it sounds so much like something my sister was going through. It’s not nice and I am so sorry for you going through this. It’s great that you are talking about anxiety and what you are going through even now. Well I love you and think you are so worthy 💕 amazing to hear James is so supportive. I love your videos and you are a pleasure to watch. Thinking of you xx
Thank you! You are super super kind 🤍
Bless her, her downwards transition made me laugh so much! She's really trying to do them perfectly and listens to you, just a little to sensible and abrubt😅 Love the vlog, good work you two! Greetings from Germany
Haha I know! I try to give a small half halt and go down slowly but she just stops dead 😂 thank you for commenting 🥰
Congratulations 🥳🎉. Really well done. It was lovely to watch.
Thank you so much! 😊
Huge well done! That was lovely to watch x
Thank you! It was a lovely day 🥰
She's such a good girl.
She’s an absolute diamond
Oh I don’t think that was a complete failure! I thought your walking jumps were brilliant! Lucinda talks about the sloppy canter or the boring canter a lot in her clinics in order to decrease the enthusiasm and I’ve seen her work with her students on this over and over in one session until the horse is so bored of the jump they eventually loll over them. I haven’t seen the 28 day challenge myself but I imagine this is what she means? Anyway! I was so impressed as I know from your previous video how jumping is a big hurdle for you confidence wise! I hope you continue to share the challenge with us! Xx
Thank you! Yesss it’s the sloppy canter but she just got faster and faster! I think definitely need to do it more
I think your horse is lovely and you ride her so quietly and sympathetically. Thank you for sharing your lesson - such clear and constructive advice with a sense of humour thrown in. Priceless!
Thank you so much! That’s so kind of you 🥰
There was nothing wrong with the conversation you were having! 😂
Shall I change the title to ‘normal thing I say to my horse’ 😂
Where abouts in the country are you? It looks beautiful :) I miss this. Moved out to Dubai and the hacks are just not the same 😢
We are in the midlands! We are super lucky where we are, the hacking is incredible… I do think I’d rather be in Dubai though 😂
@@Riding_roxy I am from the midlands, Loughborough, Nottingham :) xx
None of it struck me as being weird. She's so brave. I say much sillier things to my car. Plus masses of random singing. Edited to add. 'We could do with the rain. It hasn't rained for seven hours.' I nearly spat my coffee ☕ out.
Yeah the rain bit was sarcasm 🙃 obviously all it’s done is rain 😂
@@Riding_roxy I thought it was hilarious 🤣😆.
Loved the vlog, good job!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Have seen Rich on a few other channels. He seems absolutely lovely. Your channel was suggested to me by UA-cam.
That’s cool! I’ve only just started the channel but hoping to have a bit of fun with it ☺️
Oh well done! What an achievement 🎉
I think you are doing such a great job. It’s tough! But you never give up. It’s so nice to see a rider like you on here xx
Thank you so much!!
I’m so excited to follow your journey Xx
🎉 a huge well done! Such a great vlog channel and I really enjoyed watching you! Look forward to the next video! Keep doing what you do xx
Thank you so much that’s so so kind! Next videos coming out this evening so keep an eye out ☺️
Not really anything to do with you being "straight", its more that your position is not biomechanicaly effective.
Absolutely love Rich. Saw him on Meg Elphick’s channel. He is a hoot. Kind of person you want to go to the pub with 🇺🇸🐴
He’s so good, has the perfect level of humour and knowledge 😂
The reason you are falling out in circles and getting a shoulder in effect is because your position is shoulder in. On circles and turns, you need to lead with your inside hip and shoulder, not the outside.
Yeah, I know I’m not the straightest person in the world, especially since snapping my hamstring.
