I’ve money shifted a couple times when trying to go from 5th to 6th, I instead went to 4th on the highway, but it was fine since 4th can handle highway speeds and the rpm went up to like 4 or 5k.

Anyone wanna know how to avoid money shifting ? Simple pay attention to your shifter when changing gears and make sure your in the right gear

2 to 3 just simpily push forward, dont need to try to be smart ass and doing something else useless

here's an idea, use your actual brakes and don't try to be an F1 driver. Truck drivers exempted.

0:13 for 5th-4th your palm should be facing towards the passenger, the way you did it is more likely to accidentally throw it into 2nd

When shifting from 2nd to 3rd and from 3rd to 4th, it is much easier to just put the hand on top of the shifter and push forwards/backwards. If you grab the shifter from the side as shown in the video, you still risk shifting from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th by accident; because you apply power from the side, even though all you have to do is perform a straight movement.

Get a really cheap first car and then learn on it so that way if you screw it up you won't be screwing up something nice.

Letting the shifter go back into neutral is a good tip in between shift.

I don't actually think the commentary is right saying they use an air impact wrench, it's likely an air ratchet they use for securing the inlet stack nuts.
