its brilliant to see these old photo's of where I grew up, I lived on union road third door from the top. Doesn't look like that now. apart from sawyers and ringtons there was carter's pies shop, hopkirks toy shop, The wife and I visit here every year cheers for the photo's

It was a real community back then lots of little shops and a thriving area for people to meet.
Its just a Shit hole now and the Council was to flambé 100%

Say what you like about Shields Road now 2018 , but back in the day it was a thriving little place absolutely thriving ....

... and the smells ..... Rington's Tea, Sawyer's Pork shop, Pie and Mushy Peas (in a plastic bag)........ wow
