As a professional handyman in East Los Angeles, I recently tackled a project that involved installing safety bars into tile. This task is crucial for enhancing home safety and accessibility, particularly in bathrooms or other areas where additional support may be needed. Below, I detail the process, emphasizing the importance of precision and the right tools in handyman services.
Step 1: Positioning the Safety Bars
Before beginning, it's essential to determine the optimal placement for the safety bars. This step is crucial because, unlike drywall, once you drill into tile, there's no easy way to undo it. As an experienced handyman, I take extra care in this planning phase to ensure the best outcome for my clients.
Step 2: Marking and Preparing for Drilling
The next step involves marking the drilling points and preparing the necessary tools. For a successful installation, you need a reliable drill, specialized tile drill bits, appropriate anchors, and bath-rated silicone. This preparation is key to a smooth handyman service.
Step 3: Drilling into the Tile
Drilling into tile requires precision and the right technique. I use a drill with a hammer mode for harder tiles, which reduces bit heating and speeds up the process. For softer tiles, a regular drilling mode suffices. A pro tip for those in handyman services: if the tile is particularly hard, start with a smaller drill bit and gradually increase the size to avoid damage.
Step 4: Installing Anchors
Choosing the right size anchors is crucial for the stability of the safety bars. In many cases, attaching the bars directly to studs isn't feasible, especially when tiles extend to the ceiling. As an experienced handyman, I ensure that the anchors are installed securely, regardless of the stud placement.
Step 5: Applying Silicone and Finishing Touches
To prevent water damage and corrosion, I apply a silicone bead around the anchors and mounting holes. This step is vital for maintaining the integrity of the wall and the longevity of the installation. Adding decorative covers to the brackets provides a clean, finished look, a hallmark of quality handyman services.
Conclusion: Trust Your Local Handyman for Safe and Professional Installations
In conclusion, installing safety bars into tile requires a skilled hand and attention to detail. As your local East Los Angeles handyman, I am committed to providing top-notch services that ensure safety and satisfaction. For all your handyman needs, from simple repairs to complex installations, feel free to contact me.

Ryobi A9FS8R1 8-Piece X-Wing Forstner Bit Set for Woodworking
Как то долго происходит установка спец инструмента. Да и фрезы не очень острые.
Gato con guantes no caza ratones
Looks like trash
It is definitely not the fanciest tool on planet Earth, but helps get the job done right and quick thats for sure.
@@happyfamilyhandymanthe tool is good. It's your skills with the chisel. It looks like your plate it's not flush with the door. Plus the gaps on the side of it
@@issacnewton7059 by no means I'm an experienced carpenter - did it for the first time. So what?) what matters is - client liked the results.
я бы уже установил , используя фрезер , серло и стамеску , пока он тут настраивал 🤣
Appreciate your input, but what is "Серло"? You have problems with defecation?
Класс
thanks!
Bonjour comment avez-vous fait pour refaire la peinture en gouttelettes ? Merci d'avance
I can easily get off 30 nails in that amount of time with an air compressor
Just got the craftsman for $100 So far so good, just not having to deal woth the compressor and cord are worth it, But if you’re doing hundreds of nails, maybe the compressor makes sense
i lean to the Craftsman brad nailer gun than air. I have a V20 Eco system in my house.. 100.00 bux isnt going break my bank account. Thx for the good review guys.
Thank you for watching!
My only critique of the video is the battery you used. Off brand batteries tend to lose power quicker than OEM batteries from Craftsman. There’s a reason those batteries are so inexpensive.
Honestly the video is inaccurate about the battery. Most probably it wasnt fully charged. After fully charging, we replaced the door using it, and it still had 3 lights.
Where are you from? Good accents!!!
Thank you! Still working on it...) We both fled jungle called russia around 3 years ago, and met each other here in the US.
@@happyfamilyhandymanWelcome to the states Ruskies!!
Nice guys!
Glad you enjoyed it
I wish more UA-camrs would make their review videos like this one. Every other video I’ve seen on this nailer are extremely low value because they don’t say anything that I can’t read right off the box in the store. In contrast, you guys talked about where and when it could be a useful tool plus what upside and downsides are compared to other options. Thanks!
Happy to hear that the video was helpful! After some door and baseboards replacement projects, especially upstairs or far from the work truck, its such a pleasure not to carry this huge box with compressor, but only this nice little Craftsman power tool. As of the door replacement (trims) - completely the same efficiency. And some reviewers say about jamming - no jamming at all. I guess its important to know how to use the tool properly.
Good stuff, guys!
Hi guys I'm a Do It Yourself kind of guy. I recently bought Craftsman framing nailer and the Craftsman crown stapler. I have yet to use either of these two tools. Watching your Craftsman brad nailer video convinced me to buy it. I have been hesitant on purchasing one but my mind is made up. Luckily Lowes has this brad nailer on sale for $99 tool only. Stay safe guys.
How do you like it?
@@happyfamilyhandyman Hi guys. I finally got to use both of my Craftsman nailers. I had a project pending at my house. These two tools are awesome. Never had a nail or staple jammed. I also bought the Brad nailer, this bad boy I'm putting it to use next week. Thanks guys stay safe.
