Dad's Funeral Video Can't Cry Hard enough
Nice song❤
Dedicate this song to my best friend Noel Williamson
I love this song besides Little Arrows.
I would love to take photos of the same areas and upload it for you all to see the changes. XD
Hi Jenny - This UA-cam video is one of the best I've seen about Nauru since the days I worked there - in the NPC Accounts Office from Jan 1969 to April 1976 - in all 3 Accountant positions - and naturally saw a lot of people come to the island for work not only for the NPC but the Government as well. My 4th & youngest child by my 1st marriage - Lauren - was born there - a rare occurrence for Australian expat families such as mine. I can still today remember her - now 46 - singing the song in your video when she was a young child in Primary school - as clearly today as she did then. Some of the pics you've interspersed with the pics of the frangipani flowers - all excellent photography - look as if they were taken in the 7-year period I worked there! - the barges in the boat harbour - the phosphate ship loading - some of the buildings & roads! Landrovers too were also used by not only NPC employees back then, but the private citizen as well, as it appears they still are today! Thanks for your effort. Well done! Col Sarll
@Col Sarll I lived in Nauru from 1970 - 1972 and there was a Tracy Sarll in my grades 5 and 6 class. Could she have been your daughter?
@@wendyxu5527 You're spot on Wendy - I am the only Sarll living in Oz with my landline# listed on whitepages.com.au. I have 2 sons a) Cameron - Tracey's younger brother - who left Nauru in Jan. '73 to return to Oz with, his mother Marlene & her siblings Tracey, Deanna & Lauren. You may remember Deanna too? She (I think) was in Grade 4, a year lower than Tracey, in her last school year there, in 1972. At the end of that year Tracey was aged 10, Deanna 9, Cameron 4, and Lauren 3.5 years old. Out of interest what was your surname then, in the years 1970-72 that you lived there? I may have been well known to your parents, whether your Dad worked for the NPC or Govt. and if either, what was his occupation? b) Lawson - who still lives in Melbourne, born in '78, 2 years after I left Nauru in Apr.76, with my fiance Pam Brady, (my ex-wife now, for 12 years) who was a nurse at NPC's hospital.
Sorry for the lengthy delay! My parents were Ian and Barbara Crouch. My dad was a teacher in the secondary school and we lived in “Teacher’s Gully”. My father was an excellent tennis player and so was often on the courts. I don’t remember Deanna. I had a sister Pam who was in grade four and an older sister Debbie who was, I believe, in grade eight. I remember Tracy used to entertain us with her excellent drawings and wondered whether she ever developed those artistic talents as she grew up. Anyway, we all enjoyed sharing our unique experiences on the island over the years (: (:

I always "WISHED" Billy and the Chieftones would/could have RECORED these Songs; because they have an Indian/Gospel Theme! Lynn Anderson's Version-1971 of I'M GONNA WRITE A SONG! Vincent WOULD HAVE SANG this song OUT OF THE BALL PARK....Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show-1969, by Neil Diamond! I Believe In Music* {Music is Love and Love is Music, CLAP your HANDS, STOMP your FEET, Music is the UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE and you know what I mean} also by Mac Davis! I don't know "if" THEY would have done HOLLY HOLY, also by Neil Diamond; but the whole Band would have been CLAPPING, STOMPING, doing MIGHTY FINE backup Vocals and the Fans would have HAD A LOT OF F-U-N!************** :) :) WISC. Fan
