First Motorcycle Wash | ASMR - Dirty Bike

I washed my new 2023 Honda CB300R for the first time after the winter season - I know... I couldn't wait till spring. It was nasty. Come along and enjoy some ASMR as I clean my bike. After going through this process, I realize I was really gentle and definitely missed some spots. Now that I've done it once and am more comfortable with it (and didn't kill the bike with water), I'll be able to gi...

Docker's New "Start Interval" Feature
Переглядів 12110 місяців тому
Docker has a new "start_interval" parameter allowing you to run health checks at startup with a different interval than normal health checks with no consequence on the retries - it's incredible. This now allows for almost seamless deployments while allowing your normal health check intervals to remain as they were.

Do you just leave it installed?
It takes 1.6 quarts when done with filter change
Good callout!
Salt has definitely got to it yikes.

Walmart sells floor mats for oil change for $10. They absorb all the oil spills and last a lot.
Ooo I'll have to check that out!
This music again 😂 " giva bia bi bi bia"
Mama always said I couldn't choose a song 😭
I got one off fb marketplace for $1700 and only 185 miles on the odometer. the person lived right next to me too so it was pretty much meant to be imo. gonna do food delivery on it to make some extra cash!
Heck yeah! Great use case for it.
This was very helpful, thanks
Glad to hear!
How much insurance cost cb300r
Depends on the year and where you’re located. Mines more expensive but I have things like an umbrella policy that make it more expensive.
Imho, yes Love mine! 850 miles in. ✊ Navi Nation!
Awesome!
Hmmm so maybe being a software engineer isnt something I wanna do
Yeah? What makes you say that?
Come on man no parts number
I hear the dealership would know 😉
@@JustinHammondI get it big numbers are hard to pronounce
@ZacharyKing-j2m terribly so
wish it was 150/160cc like the Honda Click here in SEAsia
That’d be nice for sure
Honda navi price: 😀👍 Process and dealer fee: 🤬💹
Right??
I would use 12/2, it's currently only $40 more than 14/2 for a 250ft roll at Home Depot. Next to nothing in the grand scheme of the overall construction costs. You have a decent amount of receptacles there, which is good, but you never know what someone will be plugging in there. It's not a code rule, but it's good practice to separate lighting circuits (14/2) from receptacles (12/2) in new construction.
I considered both. It’s not shown in this particular video but I did put 12/2 in the office and living room downstairs and used 14/2 on this room which is just a guest room and wouldn’t really need more than that. As for the circuits, I considered separating lights and receptacles but the rest of my house (which is only a couple years old) had each room on its own circuit so I decided to match that for the basement. This helped me learn all sorts of things that I’m sure I’ll take to my next build whenever that happens
@@JustinHammond Fair enough, when it comes to the trim out, I recommend using spec grade 15 amp receptacles and pigtails. If you use residential grade, don't backstab, use the screws.
What was the crush washer reference you made and what was the part number for the new drain plug?
I just called the dealership to get those details
Scooter, it can't go on highway that scooter bankrupt two Honda dealers in my town plus other stupid things honda makes. But I do think they help people get to real bikes sold 4 bikes to grom owners
That’s the purpose, great starter to get new riders introduced to motorcycles
I am having to make a massive career shift due to my health and my work will pay for me to get a new degree (in exchange for working my soul away in a call center but it’s worth it to come away debt free). I am considering data analysis and software engineering. This is so raw and actually has helped me learn what I want to do (software engineering). Thank you.
Glad to hear! Best of luck
Actually a great feature. I wish this was documented better. Am I right, that the retries are ignored during the startup and it basically retries the health check, until it succeeds? What happens if the service crashes during startup? Will it be marked as unhealthy?
So the start interval lets you set a separate interval to do health checks during startup. For instance, during startup I might want to run the health check every couple seconds until I know it’s healthy vs once it’s in a stable state, I might only want to check each minute. As to your question about crashing on startup, it’ll be marked as unhealthy once the number of retries have been exceeded
@@JustinHammond ah, okay. So the `retries` parameter is reused? That means setting the retries to a low number and starting to check early and often will most probably lead to an unhealthy container. Doesn't this make docker kill and restart the container? This would be a big error source, if the startup significantly differs on different machines.
@ElCerdoBlanco totally depends. For me, many of my containers start super fast. I use Traefik to route traffic to them but they aren’t discoverable until marked as healthy meaning in my earlier example that a one minute health check means that on deployment there would be one minute of downtime. With this new feature I can set it to check every second during the first 10 seconds so it’s almost seamless. It all depends on how you configure it
Problem is they say msrp is $1,800/$1,999 now after all the fees and dealer bullshit. More like $2,400. Sub $2,000 would be amazing but after fees it’s not worth it anymore. I got a used 2022 for $1700. Totally worth that amount
Nice!
just curious, which IDE are you using in this video?
VS Code!
I've decided that I'll pursue and become a software engineer by the time I finish my education. Any tips on how to get started with programming?
Just jump in! Checkout tutorials and guides online and start building something. Start small and find things you actually care about so it stays interesting and not monotonous. Save it all to a portfolio (GitHub) and by the time you’re done with school you should have enough projects to showcase to land a job!
Stop saying it cost $1807. The walk out the door price is well over $2000.
I don’t control the taxes and fees, that’s up to your dealership and where you buy 🤷♂️
I walked out the door $2030.00 6/24 2022 Navi Brand New .05 miles Runs like a dream, pure fun.
Technically that’s the MSRP. Dealership fees will be more.
noob
I've been called worse 😉
How much did the stuff cost at the Honda dealership
For the filter, gasket, and o-ring I think it was something like $15? Way cheaper than getting some after market filter off Amazon and OEM to boot.
@@JustinHammondI’m about to change my oil in the same bike, but I can’t find the parts anywhere. What are the part numbers? Or where did you order them from?
I got all mine straight from the dealership. If you don’t have one close you can call them for the part numbers
Do yourself a favor, buy some flush cutters to use for trimming the zip-ties. You'll appreciate it when you don't cut yourself on the sharp tails.
Hopefully I'm not reaching back there too often, but definitely a good idea for the next project!
Where are these prices they are 2200 in Ohio
2200 is an awesome price!
Just checked your channel out, not only do you like motorcycles, you are also a software engineer! Subbed
Awesome! 😃
I don't have this bike, but I watched it anyway. These videos are super helpful, and I hope it reaches the audience you were targeting.
PS I would take of the engine cowl as well
Thank you!
Yeah... probably would help with the mess some.
just courious why you didnt choose the Unifi patch panel?
Ooo because I didn't know they sold one! Looks clean, had I known I might have done that instead.
This is creepy. I have the exact same rack in my basement and the same model Synology NAS. I just replaced my patch panel with the same Cable Matters keystone patch panel a couple of weeks ago. And we're both in Utah. Google must have been watching me and that's why it recommended this video.
Triiiippy… 😐
WOO HOO keystones, now you just need to convert to Rackstudz :). Good video !
Ooo that’s not a bad idea! Glad you enjoyed!
it it possible to support a family by working as software engineer
Absolutely!
how much time is needed to watch "A REAL Day in the Life of a Software Engineer" office post c*vid edition ?
Erm... video is 5 minutes and 26 seconds? 😂
This seems like an actually relevant video! Thanks, it was a nice watch.
Glad you enjoyed!
My shitty beat up Kia soul moves slower than this thing.. lol loving it more
Awesome! 😂 Fun little bike.
5'9" , 260lb Gets me to 42 on flat, maintains me 30mph up hill. I love this bike Navi Nation! Now let's get a modded up to 50-55 and will be happiest.
Nice! Yeah there are tons of mods you can do to this thing.
Is the pay any good?
Incredible, if you stick with it and are experienced.
I entered the Honda dealer with cash in hand. After tax, tag, title, destination, freight etc. etc. the price was over $2600. That’s more than 30% added to the $1807. I said no thanks.
Unfortunately that's how it is with every bike /car nowadays I paid for my bike 6500 2 years ago MSRP was 4.999 you lucky they asking only 2600 because 2 years ago when I asked for OTD on Navi they said 3200. You have a choice either you buy it and forget about the price you paid and have a ton of fun or you forget about the bike and move on.
Super true. It's unfortunate how many fees get tacked on
Not exactly easy access. Makes me not want to get the Honda now. Thanks for the vid
Glad it was helpful! Yeah, super odd placement especially since most other bikes it's easy to get to
I am currently looking into getting into this field, Data Analytics, or Networking. And 4 years ago I did some Dual Enrollment for "IT System Specialist" with the school near me. And I wanna go back, hoping I can get some sort of apprentiship so I can leave my current job and learn on the job while also attending college. It looks like a lot of work, and annoying work, but also seems a small bit laid back too at times which is nice.
It's super rewarding and can be enjoyable. Give it a shot!
Because I live in a small city surrounded by more rural stuff between other towns, there is always a way to get anywhere and stay on sub 50 mph roads. That's why I chose the Navi. So economical, cheap to maintain, cheap to insure ($110.....PER YEAR!!), fun to drive, absolutely the perception of 'speed' without real 'speed', so I stay out of trouble. I love how they set this thing up to really be damn punchy from 0-30, so you never feel overwhelmed starting out around traffic. The onboard storage is fantastic. You see this bike, and at first you scoff at it.....then you realize that there is like one negative review out of 100 on UA-cam, or online, and even the negative review isn't really 'bad'. There is a reason for that. The shocking thing for me too is the number of compliments and questions I get. I live in a county full of compensators. Nothing but big loud cruisers or overtuned sport bikes. You simply don't see Navis driving around at all. So much so that, while other Honda dealerships have a waiting list, ours still has 2023s with 2025s about to come out, and I'm the only local person to buy one in well over a year, possibly longer. They couldn't remember, LOL!. Mine, reflected in a window is literally the only one I've seen moving down one of the streets here. So people are just totally curious. Then after they spend a minute talking to me about it, they want one, LOL!
I too got so many questions about it haha. Awesome little bike
My commute to work is only 1.4 miles, so for me it's a no brainer. Love this little bike, made up my mind and going to the dealership.
@josephmarshall9792 ah yeah, this would be perfect then!
This song made this so painful to watch…
Glad I could bring some emotion to your day 🙂

YES it is. Depending on where you live. Within two miles is all I need, pizza, Walmart, Food lion, beer, Autozone, Wawa, Rofo, Builders supply etc. and Amazon for what I need shipped. Air cooled, less headaches, no need to go superfast, enjoy the ride
The perfect use case!
Why is he selling it?
I sold it because I got a bigger bike
I studied programming in college, took a few classes on HTML,C++, visual basic, MYSQL but i never stopped to wonder “what do we actually do IRL? I know I can’t assume that it’s like in the movies” i got scared and never actually looked for job in what i got my bachelor degree on. I feel like a wasted all those years and i keep thinking “what if i get a job and realize I forgot everything and have to start from scratch and get fired because of that.”
You can’t let fear dictate your life, you got this! It’s a super rewarding career path
I talked to local Honda Navi dealer. Although the price tags says $1840. The out of door price is over $2800 (freight fee, destination fee, tax etc). I'm hesitating...
Pretty standard for dealerships. I think I got mine for $2700 OTD. You can always try buying one used!
@@JustinHammond I bought a 2023 Navi today for $2500 OTD. I guess the price varies depends on the locations. Thanks for your info.
