    did not expect it to be that spot on for ENTP 😂 I'm a writer, and I literally describe my style as "reactive writing" because I kinda just line up the proverbial dominos and watch them fall lol

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 3 дні тому

      I honestly have so much respect for that. Most of my writing has had so much planning that I probably know the ending before I've started writing. I'm working on your style of writing but it definitely feels difficult to just let go of the planning part as a INTJ.

    • @inspi_123
      @inspi_123 3 дні тому

      @thatmbtiguy yeah, I get that. one of my best friends is also my coauthor (currently in the process of typing her, but likely an ISFJ) and she really helps me to just slow down and at least get a vague series of small scenes/events I want to write out. ironically, she helps produce a lot of the ideas to plan out and I'll connect the dots between them, linking them up into a nice flowing timeline that's somewhat structured but still loose enough for me to be flexible with. she's also a wonderful soundboard for my off the wall shit 😂 she kinda tempers it down into more digestible ideas, giving it back to me to connect within the massive web of other ideas lol

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 2 дні тому

      @@inspi_123 That's a really cool idea - getting a coauthor of the opposite type - I could definitely see the benefit an ESFP could bring me with just getting the words down and writing interactions and dialogue etc. Helping ISFJs bring out their creativity is a challenging but wonderful thing to experience. Yeah, the grounding ideas part makes sense but the generating ideas that you then help link is something I hadn't really considered (my Ni is now linking this concept to personality development in general). Btw your typing sounds about right, your friend definitely sounds like an IxxJ with the whole condensing ideas part.

      @ thank you! it truly is a wonderful experience for us both, it's never boring 😂 and I appreciate your opinion on the typing. as I said, I'm still narrowing it down, but it does seem that ISFJ is the likeliest fit for her.

    INTJ 5w4 here, liked your video. Here are my thoughts, cause why not: I believe to INTJs specifically, recognising ENTP's is the easiest because they will almost always agree and even consent to the validity of any logical point that you make to them before going back to debating whatever stance they currently have chosen to be in. INTJ's and ENTP's share a deep wavelength when it comes to the pursuit of objective truth and especially also objective truth regardless of morality for the sake of understanding the world around us. (and perhaps also to make some cynical fun about it) Recognising fellow INTJ's can be difficult depending on the social situation and how well they have trained their social skills over the years (older definitely gets tougher to tell). You're not wrong about your points on the INFP but I find that the way I always realise i'm talking to one is that they will understand imaginative ways of speaking (like the ENFP too) really well and immerse themselves in it quite comfortably. Also I recommend getting a better microphone, would improve the quality of your videos a lot, especially for these types of videos. Still great video though!

      ENTP 5w4 here as well it is interesting how easily i am able to agree to any logical point even if it supports a stance that goes against my previous position, then I have to go into this deep analysis of pure logic on which opinion is more closer to the truth. This is just my observation but for u if u made up an opinion on something does it change easily if at all perhaps because ni can at times stick to one thing.

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 3 дні тому

      I really, really appreciate this comment, it's so on point and insightful. All of the points you make I practically am nodding my head to as I read it. You're totally right about the wavelength thing and them instinctually agreeing with logical validity is something that I hadn't considered but would definetly help in distinguishing them. The cynical fun is spot on as well. I suppose a lot of the negative ways of telling it's an INTJ get harder with them maturing, but there are still the positive traits to look out for, for example an INTJ using their Se successfully will likely look different to an ESFP because it has such a solid grounding in Ni - it's honestly an incredible sight to see. Yep, I can throw ideas and concepts into the conversation and these types just roll with it. You're totally right about the mic! I've had a few people mention it in the past, but this comment has motivated me to try and figure out how to sort the audio. Thanks!

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 3 дні тому

      If I truly formed a belief with Fi, no that wouldn't change easily. However, in a debate I am also able to argue the opposite side. With Ni, yes we stick to one thing, but that one thing can be that we have multiple angles on the same thing. Let's take a simple example: "are cats better than dogs". An INTJ could argue for cats or dogs, but would realistically probably hold the Ni that both have their pros and cons and neither was objectively better - this would be hard to get them to change. They likely would have an Fi preference for one which would be better - also hard to change. Because we have pros and cons for both, we can easily just list the pros from one and cons from another for the sake of argument.

    • @osmanclan4510
      @osmanclan4510 3 дні тому

      @thatmbtiguy i see i was interested to understand ni logic because it stems first from a perceiving function then can have a sort of empirical finished result (te) maybe

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 2 дні тому

      @@osmanclan4510 The annoying but realistic answer is probably that it's all interconnected - functions don't really work on their own (although sometimes one function is used HEAVILY). Not sure exactly what's being said here, but Ni does have the potential to be incredibly abstract and removed from reality if it doesn't have the Se experience to back it up.

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 6 днів тому

      Yeah, I'd say ENFPs and ENTPs are probably both the most "introverted" of the extroverts because their extroversion doesn't really depend on going into the outside world - you can explore ideas and possibilities with Ne from the comfort of your own home.

  • @Bellabirdtheoneandonly
    @Bellabirdtheoneandonly 16 днів тому

    Enfp here. I also use Fi and Ne so maybe I can answer why INFPs (and even ENFPs) may appear fake. Fi is obsessed with uniqueness, individuality, and standing out. Healthy INFPs know its okay to be like others and are very self aware. Unhealthy Fi users are obsessed with their image and what they want to be perceived as. Even I struggle with this as a type 4 ENFP. I want people to see me a certain way. Unhealthy Fi users may identify as something they are not to prove they are different because they don't want to be like others. This is what probably makes them appear fake. That being said, I like INFPs more than Ni users (sorry). I just have a better time understanding them and getting along with them, but the wrong ones can be jerks.

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 2 дні тому

      Haha definitely breaking the ENFP stereotypes about being obsessed with INTJs, so I guess that's one way you're unique 😅. Interesting points you raised about individuality, it's like these Fi types are almost restricted by their need for the freedom to be different. Yeah, varying degrees of maturity can be found in any type, it makes sense that you wouldn't get on with some of the more immature ones.

    I’m an INFJ and I never spend my money…it’s just there. I’m also not interested in making money at all other than basic survival lol. How does Te relate to wanting to make money and Ti relate to wanting to save it?

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy Місяць тому

      Okay so Te needs to feel useful and productive - they actively enjoy the process of making money partially shows that they are valuable at effective at whatever they are doing (e.g. a high salary shows they are an important employee/boss). They also enjoy the system as it is objective and an external way of measuring people's value. Ti would say that money is not an accurate way to measure someone's worth, whereas Te would say it's still a useful system. Basically, as an INFJ you have Te blind so may not have even realised that people get enjoyment from the process of making money for the sake of making money. Thanks for watching and commenting! For having followed the evolution of the project and company of an ENTJ & ENTP, I confirm. I guess the INTJ approach success by doing things their own way, keeping private their plans/projects, be pioneers 3 years ahead, or by doing things better than others, or they don't care about success, or everything is seen as a success.

    • @thatmbtiguy

      Yeah, I would say for an INTJ, what matters most is how close we come to reaching our own version of success, whatever that might be. (look at how much ideas/video we produce))

      Yeah there's so many to choose from with INTJs. The self-improvement part is huge because INTJs can work on other skills they're bad at because of it. Honestly I probably could have done a whole video about Ni alone given how many things it can do. I tried to cover a range of functions in the vid (e.g. Fe blind to social etiquette, Te leadership etc.) but you're right - it would've been at least an hour if I said everything I could think of, and there'd still be things I'd miss.

  • @victoriaalesandroni
    @victoriaalesandroni 4 місяці тому

    Hi! Just came across this video, and I thought it was quite a good analysis. I think it’s totally understandable that the Ni Fe combo paired with Ti in the third slot is super paradoxical. From my experience, the Ni Fe is like having the ideal to create social harmony, and wanting everyone to be okay (a lot of the time it can also be selfish in the sense that I want people to like me) but the Ti adds perfectionism to the mix, so every time I get burned out from being around too many people I start to feel bad about myself. Actually now that I think about it, that exact scenario happened today. I was really physically tired and I was in my last class. My professor, who I think is an ENTP, was encouraging more student participation. Normally, that is a class I really enjoy participating in, and I think my professor feels a lot of satisfaction when we are engaged. But since I was so tired, I didn’t say one word the entire class and afterwards I went home feeling really bad that I may have hurt my professor’s feelings by not participating 😂. Something else you said that I thought was interesting was that even though sometimes you take on too many tasks with Te you still know when you’re doing that and when you should probably slow down. For INFJs, I think it might be our undeveloped Fi (at least in part) that makes us work super hard until we have to door slam. It’s hard for us to know when we’re doing too many things that don’t actually align with our values and burn us out. For example, I have a piano professor (ESTJ) who always pushes me to fill up my schedule with performances and recitals, and in the past I have said yes to all of them, basically just to please her (I try not to do that anymore), when what I actually like doing on the piano is composing. The last thing I wanted to say is that usually this people pleasing problem can be solved by trying to develop Fi a little more. I’ve found that journaling actually helps me figure out how I feel about certain things, when figuring out my feelings isn’t something that comes naturally to me. Something else that has helped me is the people close to me who have Fi in their front stack. They can usually help me. A lot of times I’ll tell my INTJ dad about some project I’m thinking about taking on, and he’s the one who usually prompts me with the question “do you actually want to do this?” I’ve found that to be quite helpful.

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 4 місяці тому

      Wow, that's a really interesting way to look at it - the INFJ being selfish by wanting people to like them. Yeah I can see the lack of generally sticking up for yourself coming all out in one go being a thing. I don't think you meant to, but you touched upon the INFJs having problems saying "yes" to everything which is so true. I know if I asked an INFJ for a favour they probably would agree to help me out immediately, even if they can't manage to do it, so I have to be extra careful to make sure they definitely want to and can help. Yup journaling makes sense. Figuring out your own feelings isn't a thing that comes naturally to INFJs, but figuring out other people's feelings does, which is kind of crazy when you think about it. Maybe the detachment and separation involved in writing and then later reading the journal allows for an INFJ to analyse the emotions as though it were another person? Ah yeah, as an INTJ I can relate to the question and find myself asking it to INFJs a lot. Part of me is tempted to try and guilt trip INFJs into subscribing and supporting the channel, but nah, only do that if you actually, genuinely want to.

      @@GeraldPetersonOfOxford You seem to be targeting common and colloquial use of the English language as you're main points here. If someone said "that would be nice", would you claim that they cannot make that statement at all? At that point, we may as well not have the world "would" as no one would ever be able to use it. Your second point I like though, the topics of debate could go a way I don't want it to go, although currently it seems to be on trivial things (though still very entertaining). What about the potential for hilarity to come from my naivety of asking for a debate and getting one, just not the one I asked for. That in and of itself is humour. Alternatively, you yourself may find it hilarious that I managed to bring that upon myself. Cool that you brought MBTI into this, but it really only added to your first point, which I've already argued against in the first paragraph of this comment.

    We are in our Ni world, in another dimension 🚀✨so in the subconscious surely, which make us look like : not there 👻😆 I just constantly think, always something that make me think to something else. I think this Ni Te stare protect our vulnerable Fi - at the same time, I prefer people stay away. I noticed that it doesn't scare the thinkers and intuitives. My father when I was child : "don't watch me like this !" yelling at me whereas I did nothing - And me I was confused, I didn't understand. Good work as always, very creative.

      Yeah, whenever I'm doing a staring contest or whatever, it can freak people out how good I am and how intense I can do it, when in reality I'm probably just working on some Ni connections or planning ahead or just generally zoned out. Sometimes it does seem to be to protect our emotions, with our blank stare sort of thing, but it does just seem like a lot of it is just us analysing on our heads (or it might be from that look when someone disrupts you when you're in the middle of a really intense Ni train of thought).

      I'd say INTJs are like ISTPs is probably the direction to go for. We see them being so proficient with Se that we wanna emulate that. Also they're so intelligent that we end up using our Te to try and catch up with them. ISTPs don't really have as much they need to directly learn from how INTJs act, other than possibly wanting to work on their Ni.

      Glad you found it accurate! What's more impressive with the ENFP is how they were able to keep their job for that long. Makes sense that the INTJ and ENTJ were similar, though I hadn't considered it may be due to the INTJ Fi child feeling superior, rather than Te dom hyper-confidence in their ability.

      Yeah my inner ENTP being sad that no one wants to debate anymore 😅. Won't lie, I've thought about doing the INTJ's approach many times before.

    My INTP brother often did this ESFP thing with pens. I knew an ENTJ, his trick was to create the need : He asked the person (who don't have a pen) to make a signature. Fun fact about me: I've finished 4 of these kind of pens. An ENTP one day told me that no one finish these pens. I did !!! And more than 4 times. I still have those empty pens as proof, and proud of it. Cool font of characters.

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 5 місяців тому

      Ah yeah I'm not good enough at sensory stuff for that. I did think about doing the Wolf of Wall Street method but I always think they might just have another pen, which would be a bit awkward. Impressive! I've tried that before but it usually ends up getting lost or leaking. Seems like Ni dom determination meets their Si inferior struggle to stick to one thing. Thanks! My sister is a great ESTJ, very empathic very mellow. My father is also ESTJ, very manipulative, OCD rule based, no empathy, hates poor and those in suffering, very cold so I typed him as ESTJ 😂

    • @thatmbtiguy
      @thatmbtiguy 6 місяців тому

      Yeah ESTJs can be different in how they act. A huge factor affecting how someone's MBTI type comes off is their maturity. One thing to consider here when typing people is the context you know them from. It seems like a lot of people will naturally type their father as ESTJ due to them often seen them from a rules-oriented perspective but maybe not seeing the other aspects of their life as much. Of course ESTJ/ISTJ being so common in general for males is also another cause for this. Personally, I find it interesting that you know two ESTJs so closely related to you, a fascinating dynamic.

Generally though, I'm aiming to constantly improve the quality of my content and, rather than focusing on optimal ways to gain views, gradually build up a stronger connection to the MBTI community. Therefore, I'm not necessarily focusing too much on view count as my primary focus.
