I make these videos to help others who may want inspiration, ideas, or help tying flies. There are also a few fly fishing videos, because it's always fun to see fish. As for the music choice for the fly tying videos, it is free music and that is all I have.

Damn, ive never seen anyone tie on dubbinf like that before
Excellent video with clear steps and no fancy requirements. Thank you
Beauty!
Moncada cant miss'em
If that was Florida your lucky not to get killed by FFG
😂❤🎉
Maybe if writing wasn't covering everything it would make sense.
Yeah, i run into the same problem a lot. If you open comments it takes all the youtube buttons and links and stuff away so you can actually see the video, albeit smaller
Mice fish & release ❤
Power bait 2 sunrise 1 white
The best feeling to the worst feeling in an instant.😔😭I feel your pain. Fish on🎣
Excellent tying demonstration!
Nice, and that is one fat “wide” trout, maybe a RB or CT, but not a brown, well maybe….
They are bows
@@erikmoncada thanks!!! And thanks for all the great vids and fly tying info!
Happy Easter
Long boi
Good content but your percusion sound ( music ? ) on the audio track is very annowing.
I agree... I am working on changing them.
Beautiful trout
nice song choice. goes well with the slow-mo
She's pissed!!!!
awesomme
Do you generally fish this as a dry or nymph? I could see it done either way.
I believe is came from Denny Rickards. So it’s meant to be a wet fly... The materials used would eventually take down the fly with saturation after hitting the water. I believe it’s posed to sit just below the surface or sink slowly.
@@erikmoncada thank you. That’s what I was thinking, but wanted to ask the question.
nice job ! many trick explain Thank you so much
I like that foam.
Same
Nice warm water fly!
Yes... Trout love it too... but a bluegill will kill it! ha
Beautiful carp fly! For sure I will tie it.
It has worked for us already. Hope it’s a good one for you.
I see some ep baitfish in my near future. Lol Nice one Erik
Thanks! Have some fun with it.
size off the hook
10-12
SUPER ! Thank you.
Nice fly; thanks for posting.
Some kind of protection on the point of the trailing hook while tying the rest of the fly will cut down on the bloodshed that is otherwise likely. Ask me how I know this.
Heh
Nice✌
What is the size of the hook?
Perhaps a 12. This is the size I encounter where I fish. Look into the size they hatch on your local stream, that is the size I suggest you tie. Cheers!
Written recipe would be appreciated. I plan to gather materials and try it out at my local bass pond,
Look at 6:59
A 99% Master Splinter, but okey...
Excellent idea. Thanks for sharing.👍
Who could do a thumbs down to this very good straight forward video ?
Very efficient tie
Thank you
I also like it and assume the yellow thread helps indicate the markings on the real fly. But I wonder how to get the elk hair in an appropriate color. Dye it (not for me) or might one use a dark green marking pen? Or maybe I'll look for some on the web.
I bought it in that color.
Yea John I got a colour pack of deer hair from bass pro, it works the same as elk hair and comes in all colours
Good tie, Erik. But that violin loop... Argh. Also, it's either "the best you can" or "as well as you can". Not "as best as you can". Cheers.
I like it, much simpler than other drake patterns I've seen. Going to try these, thanks.
awesome fly!
The music is annoying .
Do you want the rounded part of the d rib to be on top of the fly when it is finished? For some reason when I start wrapping up the fly the straight part is on top.
Are you using a med d rib?
yes
Great video, easy to follow. I have some hearing issues and had to turn off the sound because of the drumming.
Well done.
Thankyou very much my brother
This is lake Lowell in Nampa? I should check that place out. Looks cool!
This comment almost make me laugh. Yes it is, but you need to check it out in the spring during our high water season on the south side of the lake. If you wen t now you would definitely not see this.
Just came across your site, very nice use of foam and other materials
Thanks. I went through a foam faze a while back.
I'm into flat tail streamers and sparse bucktails now
