@@latintutoronline Of course you are right but just listening to you I learned how to pronounce Tacitus correctly. The k like a hard C sound.
Please note it should be a much clearer dicúntur: the stress in that word came out a bit funny!

Color code the flashcards by gender too. I never even had to think of which gender a vocab word was just by using blue pink and green for neuter. It just seared it into my brain naturally.

I don't do it, but yes you can add macrons on top of the usual diacritics

I love this. Thank you for doing this. But at 3:16, the third line down, it should be "Pythius nolebat hortum vendere," . You have Canius. One small question...why do you use in the second line "id non venale esse," and not "eum" for id? I thought the gender should match hortus which is masculine. Thanks again.
eheu! How very annoying! I keep making that mistake! I will see how I can change that. I said "id" because the text I was working from had hortus but also hortuli and really was just thinking about spatium, I guess. One to consider given the final text.
I have now added some subtitles to correct that. Thanks for the heads up!

A quick question. Why do you put so much emphasis on seeing the macrons? I know it will help distinguishing between the nominative and ablative of 1st declension nouns. Also if they are there in a piece of verse it helps with scansion. Other than that, does it matter? The dictionaries I use are Elementary Latin Dictionary byCT Lewis, Chambers Murray Latin English Dictionary And Cassell's Latin English and English Latin Dictionary. I also have Teach Yourself Latin Dictionary, out of print now I think. But, yes, I agree use the glossary of the text you are using.
bene rogas! I did not learn the quantities when I was starting and then had to go back to learn them once I moved on to literary texts. I think it's worth paying attention to them from the start, because later on they become an important element of the cadence of texts.

Nicely done. I've been using Greek font for a while, but I can't find the Polytonic version on my Mac or in Google Docs.
Have you tried Gentium or New Athena unicode? They should be in google fonts. I can make an add one video for Google docs if needed.

It depends on where you are. In the UK, it is currently free access for the old edition (www.clc.cambridgescp.com/Array/online-textbooks ) but you need to pay for the new 5th edition.
