Not only that it pushes more players down for people that may not be able to grab that top QB….. Both of my drafts for the past couple years have been superflex and this year I’m adding TE premium as well

The amount of great QB's that aren't even starters in standard leagues makes SF all the better

Value based drafting suggests taking a positional skill player but then the idea exists you need a top 5 QB if available….so I’m torn

Is it 2WR or 3WR format? If 3WR, would probably lock in Lamb or Hill there. If 2WR, then would be a debate between McCaffrey, Allen and Lamb. If this is the same league as previous years, would recommend looking at how early QB's have been drafted. If you expect a big run on QB in the first two rounds, then locking in a top 2 QB would make sense because the other position value would be very high by the time you make picks 2 and 3. If you take a top QB and only one or two other QB's go by your second pick, you're putting yourself in a tough spot by passing on a premier WR or RB.

Love it! With such a small number of players just open up the rosters a lot. One example: 2 QBs, 3 RBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 2 Flex (RB/WR/TE), 1 Superflex (QB/RB/WR/TE), with an 8-10 player bench and optional K, D/ST, and IR slots. This looks a bit crazy but with 4 people it will make it much more fun than everyone just having superstar rosters

To be fair he's 25. But 3WR and HPPR pushes WR up a bit

QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, Superflex (QB/WR/RB/TE), Flex (WR/RB/TE), K, D, HPPR scoring

In 10-team 3WR we like locking in CeeDee or Hill since the WR's that make it back to you will likely be outside that top tier of 7. That being said, would look at how your league drafted the last couple years if possible to get a feel of how things might unfold. If you know there's going to be 10 QB's taken in the first two rounds, would definitely lock in Allen with the first pick. I just mocked out this scenario of 10 QB's going in the first two rounds and assuming the 3 top RB's are gone, Hill, CeeDee, Chase, St. Brown, AJB are gone you'd be looking at a 2/3 turn of Garrett Wilson / Harrison / Puka / Saquan / Gibbs as options. I'd be all over an Allen / Wilson / Harrison start in superflex, 3WR, PPR. On the flip side, if only 6 QB's go, you could start CeeDee, Dak (or Kyler), London or RB.

Hurts is still the play imo. He's finished QB9 in 2021 missing 2 games, QB3 in 2022 missing 2 games, and QB2 last year even when the offense seemed to go stale towards the end of the year. AR has arguably the most upside of any QB but the risk of such a small sample size scares me away when Hurts is the other choice. Now if it's Richardson vs Stroud / Dak tier would probably take a swing at the upside of AR

There's definitely a lot of risk having those guys + Pickens on an Arthur Smith offense. Upside is there though for that team especially if Rice isn't suspended

I have them ranked closely, but I favor Cook. Cook was more efficient as a runner, and White faces the uncertainty of a new OC. Meanwhile, Joe Brady remains the OC in Buffalo, and Cook really took off when Brady took over midseason last year.

It's good to know this going in and be ready to capitalize on the value at the position once players start being selected. Let someone else set the market, then seize the opportunity to grab a top-end QB as soon as someone does.

Oof, that's rough. Trevor was in a similar spot in our home league finals last year and had to start a guy so bad I can't even say his name lol. And that's a great point. How are you planning to attack QB this year?

That's typically what I like to do as well. Last year in our home league I drafted 5 RB's late and all ended up being cuts minus Achane. Swung a trade for Gibbs early and RB's hardly ended up missing a beat while having good pass catchers. Just so much more doable than receiver, especially in a 3WR format imo

Tough to argue with a WR9 finish, even after missing two games. Not to mention, the QB comparison isn't close. But if that's how you have those guys ranked, you're going to get Nico everywhere.

We do a 10 team 2qb 2rb 3wr 1te 2 k 2 def 1 flex and 9 bench Boy does that change things up. We've done for 12 yrs. And love it.

We decided to leave him off because, despite some solid under-the-hood metrics such as a high PFF grade and athletic score, it is clear that he is the number 5 WR option on a team that also features two promising tight ends. In Week 16, both Reed and Watson were out; in Week 17 (his best game), Watson and Wicks were out; and in Week 18, Watson was out. In the playoffs, when the team was at full strength and scored over 70 points combined, he had a total of just 3 catches for 26 yards. While his TD against SF in the playoffs was awesome there was no one within 10 yards of him.

Great point, which is exactly why I said "when they completed 9 games together their average fantasy points per game were nearly identical and since Tank is going so much lower than Nico that's someone I'll be targeting more" ... Likely reality is these guys will probably all have some spike weeks and could be tough to judge when that will happen on a per week basis.
