Three trips out to 6 Mile Creek Port Hedland, fishing land-based at the rock bar.
Tried soft plastics and live bait, fishing the incoming tide.
Third time lucky, finally got a fish that has alluded me for a while now.
Barramundi, Threadfin and Mangrove Jacks were the target fish.
My 15 year old Kmart rod and reel combo did the trick.

Back to the Port Hedland marina to fish the incoming tide - I'd never caught one of these before! Then over to the harbour jetty for a quick flick - hooked up straight away!
