What's not to like about more money falling in your pockets, which unfortunately is really what it's all about now. Holistically though, is it really beneficial for college football? Let's take off the blinders for a second. If they did this in college basketball it would be a travesty b/c the competition is what truly drives the game, including the Cinderella teams. Seriously, where does this realignment leave the other 100 or so football teams that aren't in the SEC or Big Ten? Other schools are running scared trying to make sure they're not left out of the insatiable gormandizing party. It's sad watching the degradation of college football turn into an avaricious, unscrupulous business. The competition you're talking about will be so limited that it'll ultimately be like watching cannibalistic sharks eating themselves.
