I am one of the 526 Wigans fan who made the long journey to Portsmouth. My first visit to Fratton Park, I was impressed by family-orientated atmosphere and the fact that alcohol could be freely drunk outside the ground. You are not allowed to this at the DW ! Okay, we spoiled the party, but what an atmosphere. Fratton Park rocked that afternoon. Congratulations on winning League One and all the best for life in the Championship next season:

To this day I STILL hate that clown Enkelman. He had a track record of screwups and was average all season. I felt we only played him that season because he was a ‘big’ name with PL experience. I honestly thought that Michael Oakes was the better keeper at the time and should’ve played in this match. Instead we got butterfingers in goal who threw away all of our hard work and our only real chance of European football. Thanks a lot Enkleman. I hope you rot.

What a great cup final. As a Pompey fan I will never forget watching this on the TV and then going outside the house and seeing all the celebrations in the street and outside the nearby pub after we won. Very sad day today after hearing the sad news of John 'Motty' Motson's passing. For many years he was the voice of football and will surely be sorely missed. He truly was and always will be a legend in football. What a great man. R.I.P. John. 😢

And I was there!! Aged 10. I remember getting up on the touchline and saying to a policeman can we run on the pitch. And he said ‘yes but wait for the final whistle’

Unfortunately after this season the suffered wt a lack of consistence and Redknapp leave for spurs along side wt Defoe Karjacnar, Distin weent to everton, Campbell to the toons and then the team was disolved...going to the third league in the next seasons such a shame, but nothing last forever.

Was worried about Sol Campbell a bit there. Damn man was out of breath.
