@@nielsdaemen If the day is warm and there is thermal activity you can fly without power for as long as you want. We often fly for 30+ minutes after running the motor for 1.5 minutes total.

To maintain the front strength I haven't hollowed it out very much so none of the 4S packs I have will fit. It would be very fast on 4S though!

@@VoyazopoulosJean-Louis You are going to love the 1600! I flew it this morning and really enjoyed it after almost a month break. Unfortunately I don't know anything about programming RadioMaster transmitters as I use a Futaba T8J and Futaba compatible receivers from RadioMaster.

Thank you! I bought some black vinyl from a stationery store (used for covering books) and it sticks really well to the foam. I am actually using a N2830 1000LV motor with a BLHeli 30a ESC. It is working well except that the ESC doesn't have enough braking force to stop and fold the propeller. I am upgrading to a HobbyWing Skywalker V2 40amp which has multiple braking force options and a setting to turn off Active Freewheeling.

@@Colin_Holloway Thanks, that‘s super helpful, I hadn’t considered braking power. A better folding prop should help gliding! 3s speed is looking so much fun on your build. Hoping to get good runtime on a 3s 2200mah.

@@maximee The standard folding propeller from the kit is plenty good enough for sport flying, and with the right ESC it folds very flat to the fuselage. If you get some lift like I did on this flight, it isn't about runtime from the battery. The flight was over 16 minutes long and only used 2:45 of motor run, which was about 300ma from the battery. The 3S 2200 puts the CG on the marks but I only use about 15-20% of the charge each flight!

Yes, the servos are screwed in from the outside so provided you can pull the wires through they can be changed.
