I like all the solutions stated here, and I might consider buying a cooling pad... Though I need help with "charging while gaming". I've been charging my laptop while gaming all the time. Without charging my computer, my frames will drop low, thus, charging is required. My idea is, can I just use a cooling pad to compensate the warming batteries from heating up?

I have a pc which can run at 180- above 200 fps on very low detailed games now I went on holiday for 2 weeks and now I have only 30 fps

i have avg 160 fps on max settings cs2 and it randomly drops to fkin 20 30 fps for 1 minute and then it continues normally. That happens 3 4 times during one game. Idk what can i do anymore except to brake the fkin pc

Actually frame drop is from a over powered monitor. A 500hz monitor will show every frame drop. But if you have 240hz and the games lowest frame drop is 260fps and 380fps max. Then you won't see any frame drop and it will run a stable 240fps.

I had SysMain disabled it for a while and when I played the game, it gave 20 or less than 20 FPS, when I enabled it again, it gave me above 30 FPS.

Bro since 4 months now i have massive fps drops back then i got in apex easily 240 fps alltime but now i get inconsistent 165 fps. I have a 4070 and i7 11700K in fn i get inconsistent 120 fps and in creative inconsistent 190 while i got in fn back then easily 240 consistent and in creative over 400 idk what to do. Even in other games i have massive performance loss since 4 months i haven t done anything

I'm about to get rid of Windows 10 and have Windows 7 instead because every time Windows 10 updates something my computer blue screens and then I got to reinstall windows again and this is my fourth time now doing it. Never had a problem with Windows 7. And it's not like my computer has bad specs. It has a 6700k, 32 GB of RAM, 2080 ti and a crucial p5 NVMe for a boot drive.

Idk why but I feel like my system ovr has gotten weaker and weaker it could be AAA games nowadays getting updated to put more strain on cpu but before I could run like 300 fps in heavy games like Fortnite and or overwatch at the lowest graphics and be fine but now I have all these recommendations to run like max graphic settings and low frames in like every directx game it’s weird I know my gpu is built for performance but now it’s not acting like it😢

I have a 48-75Hz freesync monitor and I can say with full certainty that it doesn't eliminate screen tearing. I use my freesync monitor in 60Hz mode and I capped the FPS to 59, that way there's a constant screen tearing at the bottom of the screen, which is better than capping at 60 which causes a constant screen tearing in the middle of the screen. And yes everything is set up correctly, I have the freesync option enabled in the radeon software, I even have the driver and software installed for my monitor. I have been using this monitor for about a month now and there's absolutely no difference in input lag when using freesync with capped FPS or using Vsync.
