Lookup the 3D poly trees mods. Makes such a huge difference in making the game world feel more alive.

@@SliceofHasmax Oh I feel that. You''ll still have all the postcards for characters you interact with. For me, the mix of old school and new works. It's a specific type of nostalgia where the mods meet me where my imagination was 20 years ago lol. I'm old, but I never played this back in the day. And I probably would have. It just missed me. I just got into it a few weeks ago, and I really like it. But also, I like it more, the more mods I add, to make it more modern feeling. Also, the simple fact that the modding community is hyper active rn, because the full unity release just hit. Great time to look into them. I was just thinking the 3D trees would make your videos more appealing to your audience. For like the people who happen upon the video, and know nothing of daggerfall. I only speak for myself, but I didn't bother to play it until I saw a few videos where people were showcasing mods, and specifically how pretty the game can be. And they make a noise when you do it. It's so great. xD

I watched the video you recommended and I'm sold. I'm downloading the tree mod AND THE PET ALL ANIMALS MOD! Thanks a bunch for your feedback too, I really appreciate it! I never actually intended to make UA-cam videos seriously. I honestly just wanted to record myself being stupid and making silly edits. But I am keeping in mind that people might also click on my videos to check out the mods before downloading and playing it themselves thanks to you! Anyways, old or young, its amazing to see just how diverse the group of people who care about this game is and in the end, Interkarma made it possible for us. Im in my 20s and would never have been able to experience Daggerfall if not for this Daggerfall Unity fan remake project. Hope to see you in my next videos!

I didn't know this! I gave it a look and it's pretty good but I'm already a few hours into my playthrough. My concern is whether I can install it mid playthrough without breaking my save.

@@SliceofHasmax DREAM and DREAM 90s are visual edit, that come with multiple "modules" that you can individually enable/disable. For instant, there's a module for Sounds and Music, that you can disable if you using mods for those. I really like the 90s version and based my modlist around it (was originally just DREAM, but it contrasted with some pixelated stuff). Did you use Uncanny Interface to get that 4 slotted inventory? I saw your video today and tried to install it, but I couldn't get that part of it to work, although my modlist is massive, so something is probably overwriting it, even though I had it at the bottom.

Thanks for the info man. I'm going to install DREAM 90s and test to see if it works mid-playthrough. I honestly just downloaded DREAM without thinking much of it but like your comment suggested, some pixelated stuff throws off the game's aesthetics. And yes, I have Uncanny Interface installed. Normally the game would check your language skills to attempt to pacify the enemy I believe. But I'm actually using a mod called Language Skill Overhaul that allows me to make a few direct attempts to pacify the enemy and subsequently talk to them to try to make them your follower. The language skill without the mod is otherwise very impractical though.
