360 reflects on Career, REHAB, Aus Rap Accent, "Addiction Demon" + MORE
Having DOCXumented Aussie Legend Kerser's career on the last installment, I decided to travel to Melbourne to sit down with his former nemesis, Australian Rap Icon 360.
Matt was absolute pleasure to speak with and I also am forever grateful for allowing me to ask any question I wanted to. I hope this does justice to his fans and new Australian Hip Hop fans looking to dive into the history of this ever growing and buzzing scene.

DOCX: KERSER reflects on Career, Aussie Music Scene, The Kid LAROI, Quitting XANAX + MORE
Переглядів 214 тис.3 роки тому
It's been 7 years since Kerser sat down for a Face to Face interview, for this first and foremost I am forever grateful and humbled. Engraved in the Game for 10 years , Kerser's name is synonymous with Australian Hip Hop and will be - forever. Shunned by the industry and ridiculed for an image and persona celebrated by today's Hip Hop scene - Kerser's mentality and drive is truly a testament to...
DOCX: SPANIAN talks life in Jail, "Aussie" Culture, Giving up Drugs overnight, Conspiracies + MORE.
Переглядів 289 тис.5 років тому
I urge you, to watch from start to end. Spanian has made a name for himself in more ways than one. Spanian, has no filter. I personally chose to sit with him not for the infamous slap, not for the negative connotations that come with spending half his life in jail and the crimes he's committed; but to understand the person who's driven by emotion in his music. Granted, not for the faint-hearted...

360 is a real person, and not a product. I hated him for his arrogant raps, sometimes misogynistic, but he got raped by the music industry big time. Also damn he gets this awesome reclining counch making his guest sit on his computer chair, and really awesome house too, so the self pity thing is kinda hard to swallow. After all the regret, this guy landed on his feet okay and should be grateful for what he has. Mental issues are always hard to talk about, but this guy will be just fine. understanding human suffering is difficult when it is presented from a million dollar house while people starve on the street.

Kerser! Gets me through everyday of my life. Nobody relates more to me than Kerse. Every line / bar hits the heart. I party on to Kerser. I fall asleep to Kerser. I can’t get enough. I will ensure Kerser stays relevant until I see a show or meet him in person. I always come back to Kerse for the Truth. Had tears in my eyes watching this. Kerser relates to real people going through real life. He will always be my king.

Drug addicts who comment on here know the game and everyone hides what they are on. Cracks me up. I'm open heroin addict on Buprenorphine used every drug except Fentanyl... Anyone who's a rapper jail bird in the game uses fucking drugs. And they love it and love the fucking lifestyle. I see it everyday. Enjoy life. Be you. This isn't a bad interview from Spanian but talking about jail is shit. Luv from Logan Gold Coast AUS.

kerser is a fvcking liar. he copied 360. 360 was the first oz to heavily explore and then explode from rappin over electro and techno on his ridiculously viral mixtapes from 2010 and 2011 (please be seated 1 & 2 and the stand the fvck up mixtape). which accrued millions of views, plays and streams even over here in america. and kerser knows this. that he studied and used 360's blueprint. he even sought 360 for consultation on how to penetrate the culture's attention. when 360 told him "you just have to be yourself mate, if you're authentic and it resonates with people then you will be successful". kerser wasn't smart enough, patient enough or wise enough to understand this very honest gem 360 gave him so he literally did the exact opposite and just copied what 360 was doing. kerser has been on record saying sht like "techno is g@y" its "soft sh!t mate" then he turned around and chose not to be himself, chose not to be authentic, chose to rap over a music style he didn't even like or respect and chose to just be 360. and has literally never given him credit for it. for inspiring the one move that finally got the masses to check his music out for once as opposed to just his battles. if kerser's fragile ego was capable of overcoming itself and he was honest about this history and how the events that led to his 'success' actually transpired - then he couldn't be called a liar and a theif but a contemporary that found some inspiration in what 360 was doing and hence borrowed from his highly successful formula. but because kerser isn't somebody who is grounded in integrity - he tells this half truth fable that nebz is the sole cause decision that put his vocals over 360's sound and made him an overnite success. this is what makes kerser not an inspired contemporary that borrowed from the genius of 360 - but rather a theif that stole from his genius and by omitted details he suggests that he is the architect of his own succcess by way of his single syllable rhyme schemes and played out, repetitive flow(s). foh. america barely even knows about this clown. he barely breached our attention until we saw his wannabe be thug, wannabe m&m act get washed in a rap battle by 360. meanwhile an entire generation of battle rappers here are friends with 360 and were inspired by his making it big. in the same way 360's major, multi hit, multi platinum success as a solo artist inspired aus rappers by letting them know it can be done, he simultaneously/similarly inspired the top tier american battle rappers and gave them faith that they too can turn their battle rap notability into legitimate careers. the best scot has done is release 'quantity over quality' projects every 12 months of the same old songs, just remaking the same 5 songs over and over, recycling the same old flows with a simple style of mother goose-doctor suess complexity. he exhibits lil to no meaningful versatility or evolution. maybe he should consider stealing from his peers again. next
