Upgrading a single speed MTB to multi speed.
I decided to upgrade my 2010 Raleigh XXIX into a multi speed bike.
It was a relatively inexpensive and simple upgrade that has exponentially increased the versatility of this bike, and I hope this inspires someone with a similar SS setup who wants more gears to consider this option.👍👍🚴🚴🚴

I couldn't find a regular OKC RTAKII knife anywhere (except ebay!) so I manage to find a 125th Anniversary Collector's Edition RTAKII. I really love this knife down to the very handles on it. I even chose it over the Esee Junglas and I paid almost $300 for my RTAKII but it serves me well and came in a black leather sheath. It actually ges well with my Esee 6. I love the steel on this knife, the 5160 on this knife is great. I honestly think that the Esee Junglas would either break or chip with the things I put my RTAKII through. The 5160 steel allows it to "bend" around serious knots and come out straight as an arrow. I think I will get a kydex sheath made for it because it certainly deserves a better sheath.

The clip will conform after a few weeks but in my pro experience , that winds up being a blessing if you ever lost or drop a good knife from up high. This knive is worth the break in period. I like a firm clip as i carry every day. A guy can work on it but for me i need a clip that dont get weak. Weak clips are my most avoidable situation. And This blade is crazy sharp as well as keeping a great edge a long time....cold steel's best imo......

I just sent my photos and information for a warranty claim as well. Mine separated on the seam where the mesh meets the sole, but it's right in the same general area of the hole that he showed in the video review. I just submitted it today, 12/6/23, so we'll see if they stand behind their shoe or not. Purchased them from REI in February, but they are not my daily shoe, only for walking around on the weekends or walking on the treadmill at the gym a few hours a week. After 9 months, I was shocked that my $150 shoes were separating at the seam / mesh / sole area. I expect a warranty replacement, we'll see.

Totally agree with your comments and experience. Mine have gone in the same places on both shoes after limited use. On Clouds are super comfortable, but durability is dreadful, and not up to the quality required to perform their role. Mine have had reasonable use, and been looked after, but I can see a combination of poor design and manufacturing have shown On Clouds weakness. This is a universal problem across their products when using a mesh and membrane construction. I have both Salomon and Arcteryx shoes, designed and constructed in a similar manner. My Salomon Speedcross have been used as my go to trail shoe through super tough conditions and terrain, over many many miles and they have been superb. The upper is brilliantly made and constructed with no signs of wear at the crease like the On Cloud. Only the quick laces needed replacing through expected wear and tear. I will not hesitate to buy Salomon again. My Arcteryx have also shown to be well constructed, but not been worn to the same level, but so far so good. The wear issue combined with the fact that the sole design constantly picks up and retains stones, and pine cones as you walk/run means that I will not be buying or considering On Clouds again until the shoes improve, and On Cloud start to own the issues. Plenty of alternatives out there.

Paul ..... I purchased this LD30 direct from Fenix in the Spring based on your review. Down to earth with zero hype. I have used it 5 months now, mostly for metal detecting, but general EDC as well. It is easily as good as you said, perhaps better. The light has taken abuse, mud covered so many times ...... a quick rinse when I get it home and its good. The 350 lumen setting is awesome for walking out of the forest in the dark on rock strew trails. The only thing I did was add a little grip tape on the body, it was a little slippery. Battery life is amazing with moderate use and the LD30 has never let me down, I love it. Thanks Paul !!!!!

Hello and thank you so much for watching and commenting. The saddle is the” sport select” model. I would love to hear your feedback once you have had some time on this seat post. I hope this day finds you well. 🤙🤙

Had the same hole at the left shoe of the similar model. Plus the outsole get easily worn out. Comfortable to wear but seems it lasts a short time.

I agree with you on the comfort of the ONs. Got my first pair in 2018 while deployed to McAllen Texas. Yup, running in the rain and in the humidity made these very slippery, the traction was the worst. I did not experience any issues with holes on the sides; however, mine did wearout on the heel collar, right where my achilles heel rubbed against it as I run. It eventually wore out the fabric and I had a hole there. Anyone else experience the same?
