But now I want to start a collecting journey where I will be adding Batman stuff on my home office. Join me as I keep doing changes to my office.

are you serious ?? you're making a video talking garbage of 2.0 downgrade and you don't even have the 2.0 batman to show us the downgrade do you have a mental illness or what my God UA-cam should not allow to certain people to upload videos
from where did u purchase and bought batman
You are all being gaslighted. The car is fucked. The guns are flimsy and fall. JazzInc stuck some velvet in the cavity rather than actually fix the problem. That is a temporary fix at best. The body is defective with shrinkage and dents that are noticeable. JazzInc has refused to fix the body. You are getting double sided tape to put the wheel bats on instead of fixing the magnetic wheel bats that were promised. JazzInc refused to fix that. The canopy mechanism is horrid and JazzInc is adding rubber feet to the canopy rather than providing a good solid sliding canopy like Hot Toys has. JazzInc has refused to fix that. Noone will receive what they were promised. Thats the reality.
Everyone gets a defective 89 body with dents and shrinkage for their $1800. Just fabtastic. You get it sent to you with a smile!
The best thing about this figure is the diorama base and the fact that it doesn't have a crack in the back to roll the eyes. That crack drives me nuts
The pettiness and gate keeping in the TOY COLLECTING community is laughable. This figure looks great and it's a great option for those who missed the DX09 version. Content creators need to get a grip and stop crying over 1-2% differences. Batman toys have come a long ways from 5 point Kenner dolls.
@@MrRawnch It’s like damned if you do and damned if you don’t lol. There is either people who don’t like it when you share your thoughts on something you spent a lot of money on and then another group that criticizes you for not mentioning what others consider problems making it a big conspiracy. I do agree that figures have come a long way but also has the cost which increases expectations. No crime if sharing your opinions on something you purchased and you can either agree or disagree, no problems there. Thats is what most this videos are for, to share thoughts on this expensive toys.
Enjoyed your video i have the DX09 since it came out and i can honestly say it has not degraded at all . The rubber is still soft no paint chips .
Option 2&3
Lmao, this is a pointless video.
@@produce86 Thanks for the view and comment. It sure helps with the engagement of the video. 🙂
I love this 2.0 figure, it's one of my favourites in my collection
Cool! Will you be getting the 2.0 Batman Returns figure?
I wasn't collecting when the 89' was first released so when Hot Toys re-released it and the Batmobile I Pre-Ordered them both right away. Now that Hot Toys has re-released 92' Batman I have the deluxe version of that Pre-Ordered. The Deluxe version with the Bruce Wayne headsculpt should look good with Jazz Incs Catwoman whenever that gets released.
Hey the exact spike on his left gauntlet was also missing for me out the box. I actually found it loose in the box. Seems to be a glued on piece but Sideshow shipped me a whole new left gauntlet for free. Fyi to anyone else has that issue if ordered from sideshow.
QUIERO LOS 2 BATMAN.🤩🦇 YA SABEIS DONDE VIVO.🙂
First World problems. 🤣 Dear collectors and review channels: spoiled, privileged and whiney is not a good look. These UA-camrs are in business to get views and if they can get more views nit picking everything apart and whining 24/7 about literally everything... which is exactly what most of them do... then that's exactly what they're gonna do. Cancel your orders and go buy the inaccurate, small, HT version. There's plenty of people on the waitlist who will appreciate the opportunity to get one. NEXT!
I don't see why you cant build one complete... package it and then literally throw it around your shop, parking lot, stack boxes on top of it etc. to determine where improvements and fortification in packaging needs to be done.
@@harshword8388 They showed a video on their fb group before they shipped the test batches where they were throwing it a bunch of times on the floor and then opened it to see if was damaged. Unfortunately FedEx or UPS still managed go beyond their testings by letting a palette get wet while on transit and who knows what else. But shipping wasn’t the only issue, there were problems that were also related to QC but that was the point of the test batch and they addressed the issues to fix them.
Your aponion is not the same as MR Mom's Reviews ...He said it was better than the DX 09 ,not perfect but better ...I think I will go with Mr Mom's review !!
@@tessjess1 Well Mr Moms Collectibles and I are not the same person so it makes sense to have different opinions. It doesn’t mean either opinion is wrong it’s just our own. I still think the figure is good, I just prefer the DX09
Take the credit. Keep it.
The dx09 1.0 is superior in every way, the cowl, the likeness, the suit, this was just a huge letdown as a new supposedly revised 2.0 and it’s just honestly a downgrade. There is nothing superior here that’s better than the dx09.
I pre-ordered mine and it looks like the Batman from the movie that’s what I’m looking for
QUIERO TENERLO.🤩
Hot toys always struggles with capes for some reason. All their Batman figures are all the same. Other than the cape and the overly textured suit, it’s a great figure.
A beautiful and well made figure. That unfortunately, looks nothing like Michael Keaton and has a fugly texture that is not even close to accurate. When I look at the insane accuracy of other Hot Toys figures I can't understand what the happened to this one.
I had it preordered until I watched a few reviews and cancelled it. Hot toys is just like Neca...they've lost their touch.
Besides the face plates it's alot better than the DX09. The body texture I remember in the movie. Batman Returns had the smooth body armor
That’s a keeper. I’m curious what you ended up doing. Amazing piece with the chip on the cowl
@@Thesmartestmanalive81 I decided to keep it. I like it too much to let it go, so I just got the Sideshow credit and kept as is. Since I don’t see the break thanks to the cape I don’t even think about it when I look at it.

I really like this figure though I totally agree the quality of the prototype was better, but I'm a bit angry with Hot Toys, but that's not new. Because it is not the first time that their final product is deceptive and also because of their lousy quality control. We pay a lot to get those figures and they don't seem to respect that.
I've had the DX09 since it's release and it's literally sitting behind me and my detolf. I'm an '80s kid and this movie is my childhood. I was really thinking about picking up the 2.0 at the very beginning of its release due to the cathedral diorama. After the 30 or 40 videos that I've seen on this guy, I decided that I only need one Keaton Batman from 1989 Batman. I just hope we get a returns Batman 2.0. I missed out on that guy
That’s too bad my friend it came damaged.. outa curiosity it doesn’t come with replacement spikes for the gauntlet?
@@markenos9087 Unfortunately it didn’t. It only has parts to swap in and out of the figure like face plates and fists, but no replacement parts. I now joined the waitlist with Sideshow for the Deluxe version, hopefully it will convert.
The dx 09 came with a full set of extra spikes
@@midnitedip8850 Yeah I never even thought about looking in my DX09 box to get one 😂. But now I got the Deluxe version and it arrived with nothing broken so it’s all good.
@@BatmanCollectorDad 👍👍Glad to hear enjoy.
@@midnitedip8850 yeppers.. was hoping this new one would too
Personally I think this is better than the DX09. I agree the faceplates are better on the DX09 no argument there but the cape is way better than the umbrella of a cape on the DX09. The texture on the suit was on the rubber suit worn in the film. It’s sad that you basically “rented” this from Sideshow and are returning it so somebody on the waitlist will get your used manhandled figure. The missing gauntlet pieces you can find loose parted out from Toy Anxiety or Monkey Depot. I know you shouldn’t have to but I’ve had to do that many times before with figures from Hot Toys because dealing with Sideshow’s customer service for replacements is like pulling teeth when my time is worth more and I can get the parts I need faster.
@@decadentdaveThere are a few scenes in the movie where you can see the suit very clearly and it doesn’t have the texture at the level of this figure. But like I said on the video, that wasn’t an issue for me since it wasn’t that noticeable even if it wasn’t accurate, but in my opinion the DX09 suit looks better. Also I never said I got this from Sideshow, I got it somewhere else. Now since the seller didn’t have another one I joined the waitlist for a Deluxe version with Sideshow so I guess now Im attempting to buy it from them. Not sure what you meant by “manhandled” but that figure came as is and I just had it out for the video and then packaged it back to send it to the seller and I don’t think I am handling it roughly on the video either.
@@BatmanCollectorDad not sure why you are returning the figure to the seller and getting on the waitlist with Sideshow if you really don’t like this figure but whatever. You can easily pick up a loose gauntlet piece. Should you have to? No, but as Batman says, “It’s not a perfect world.”
@@decadentdave I never said I didn’t like the figure. Do I feel it’s inferior to DX09 or to the prototype we saw last year? Yes, but I did say it was still a good figure to have and it’s one I don’t mind having in my collection since Michael Keaton is my favorite Batman.
@@BatmanCollectorDad you already have the figure, why return it open box to the seller who then has to sell it as “used” and get on the waitlist to try to get another just seems ridiculous. Bite the bullet and buy the part and avoid all the time, hassle and inconvenience it will cause both you and the seller.
@@decadentdave It’s interesting that you are very stuck on me returning it for some reason. Don’t really understand why, but it is what I wanted to do and it’s no hassle to me in any way. The figure arrived broken and I returned it simple as that. I see you would do it in a way that makes more sense to you which is to search online for a piece that may or may not be available and spend money on. That to me makes no sense unless it’s for a figure I’ve had for a while, not for one I just got new, but you and I are different individuals so it makes sense we wont do the same thing. I joined the waitlist because it’s what I wanted to do, if it converts cool , if it never converts then I’ll move on. Im in no rush for it cause I have the DX09 anyway. There are other collectibles Im more focused on right now.
Have you tried contacting Hot Toys or have the store you bought from contact HT to see if they can send you a replacement gauntlet?
@@vspectra When I contacted seller they just sent me a shipping label to return it, maybe they didn’t have a replacement. I added myself to the waitlist on Sideshow for the Deluxe version now and try my luck with them. We’ll see if it converts.
@@BatmanCollectorDad Hope it converts for you!
Jazzinc stated that it was a test batch when it was just send to influencers and most of them are people that he streams with! I personally canceled my order because of the video he made, stating the molds will have waves and he can’t fix that. If you cancel because of this wave issue that was not disclosed in the beginning they will refund your $300 NRD.
@@RunningGeek It’s great that he is doing that for the collectors that don’t want it anymore. Me personally I won’t be cancelling mine, I saw the waves in some videos and at first it bothered me a bit, but in the end it doesn’t bother me enough to not have it. I’ve purchased enough collectibles from different companies in different scales to know that none of them are perfect if you look at them close enough, it really just matter of what differences or defects your willing to live with to have a representation of something you really like in your collection and if its worth the price tag for you. Will you be getting the Hot Toys one?
@@BatmanCollectorDad I was getting both vehicles the hot toys and the jazzinc, now just the hot toys. I will never tell anyone what to do with their money I’m just sharing my humble opinion. However as the owner of a damaged 2022 Batmobile I can tell you that you never really get over it.
@@RunningGeek I can understand getting discouraged after receiving a damaged collectible. I’ve had a few Prime 1 statues arrive damaged and it does kill the excitement. Have you contacted Jazzinc about the damage on your 22 Batmobile? I had an issue with one of their vehicles once and Joost immediately offered to a free replacement with him paying for both the return shipping and the shipping for the new one
I have both the DX09 and the 2.0. In my humble opinion the new figure looks way better. The DX09 looks outdated even with the better face plates. To me the better figure is the 2.0.
@@GambitRodriguez-sl2hz That’s great! The good thing of this two versions now is that there are more options to choose the one you like the most for your collection. As for me I do prefer the DX09, but I also think the new one is a good choice minus the cape it comes with. Even though I had to return mines I would still like to get my hands on it again and still have both versions, but this time I’ll get the deluxe with the diorama and buy a custom cape for it. Hopefully my waitlist converts for it.
Keep. Take the store credit. It will come in handy eventually
Keep it of course bro and accept their store credit😊
Great video and thoughts. I don't know. The problem is there will always be someone looking to make a name for themselves and pour cold water on someone else's hard work. Being in engineering and manufacturing, I can tell u that you're guaranteed to have issues for a first batch. You can't anticipate everything that can go wrong, and at the same time, as a business, you have to build up the hype and spur interest with pre sales. It may be wrong, but that's the reality of the person trying to create something great as long as they fix those issues. Meanwhile, it only takes one youtuber who enjoys trashing people, making a name for themself, and creating videos for the same reason...garnish views. This is a tough balancing act.
JazzInc did not fix the issues with their 66. The steering wheel speedometer was put on backwards showing reversed text. The trunk wouldn't stay closed so instead of fixing the defective design they used a Dremel to put gouges in the body over the hinges damaging every body and ruining the trunk lines. They can't fix these bad batches. They're glued and can't be opened. I don't have confidence in them fixing their issues. With the 66 it was just deal with it, that's what you got they're all like that.
You made some good points on this video, basically he should have put out a statement or like you said kept it quiet
Test batch should have been done by inspector #12 at WB. Plane and simple
The buyers are claiming they signed up for review vehicles not test vehicles.
@@batmmannn7186 I did see the review from Mr Moms Collectibles and he did say they told him he would get a review unit and then changed to test unit after issues started happening. What’s interesting about that is that when I signed up for an early unit before it started shipping I was always told it was a test batch and Joost always said in his videos and posts it was a test batch. The only time I heard it was ever called a review unit was from Mr Moms Collectibles. Im not saying it’s not true to be clear, he has always been very transparent with his audience, I’m questioning whoever contacted him the first time and told him that, specially when it wasn’t a free unit to begin with to be called that. That kind of thing just adds to the confusion and anger most people got from the situation.
@@BatmanCollectorDad even being test batches the problems of the canopy not aligning and the bats on the wheels falling off have nothing to do with shipping. Clearly there is more work to do. I'm asking if the feet of the canopy were sent missing the silicone shoes that Joost is now mentioning. I'm wondering if these missing is why the canopy is so misaligned when closed.
@@batmmannn7186 Yeah I will say that a lot of the problems that were found in this batch did look more like QC issues. The canopy issue you mentioned, the bat logo magnets not working on the rims, the front turbine not spinning. Those don’t look like problems caused by shipping. Some did have dents and water damage from shipping but there are others that I feel was a QC problem.
@@BatmanCollectorDad I'm wondering if I should have just bought another motorcycle instead now.
@@BatmanCollectorDadwhen Joost contacted me and asked if I can pay the shipping for the unit he called it a reviewer sample. To be fair I don’t remember every detail and don’t recall the test being said but here’s the thing that is bewildering to me. Regardless is it’s a test or reviewer whatever term we want to use what’s the difference? I think other splitting hairs to justify their own argument. There was never any statement or agreement prior not to do a review. It was only when issues stated to come up that reviews were asked to be held off. And to clarify for the others who care to hear me out. I wasn’t the first one as I’m accused of for views I was the 4th UA-camr to put a video up yet the other 3 aren’t having a word said? Why is that?
Joost said in videos "Test Batch"
the first reviews get more views views = money people will do anything for money
The Test Batch is a great idea! Hopefully it will minimise any issues for those receiving the first batches. Problem is it should have been done completely privately - with no posting allowed on any social media!
The hot toys batmobile is just fine for the price the jazz batmobile is with shipping over a thousand dollar more is it a thousand dollars more detailed that's up to the people buying it the hot toys batmobile is just fine for what it is a model of a movie prop
@@fredwalton5844 To me I don’t think of any version of this 89 Batmobile collectibles as better or worse than the other. I see them as different versions for different collectors. Whether is the Jazzinc, Hot Toys , Mcfarlane , Jada Toys or even Legos. If you buy any of those and it makes you happy to have it in your collection then that is all that matters. Different versions with different price points for people to choose and that is good. I don’t think arguing which is better really matters in the end, just get what feels good for your collection.
👍 true
I don’t know how they could’ve made it any clearer. I saw like six videos from him, saying he was sending out a test batch.
My speculation, the drama comes from those who didn't buy it and/or are jealous content creators who think its an influencer batch they were not included in.
@@scrat1750 the fact that they shipped to reviewers state that it was a batch to advertise and not a test, but what do I know? I didn't even hear about an early batch being offered.
This was an influencer batch! Jazzinc claims they did all the shipping test in the factory by dropping it, shacking it, throwing it and “Oh. And we put it in the factory roof in 60 degrees (140F) and it was fine”. Joost is smarter than 99% of the people in this community and all this test batch is just damage control. I have the 2022 Batmobile and it came damaged I took a partial refund of $300 and I have always regret it because the damage is visible to me and I never got over it for the money I spend.
I TOTALLY agree with your sentiment of having a small trusted group of individuals get the TEST BATCHES and sign documents that keeps it off social media or any conversation
That defeats the purpose of transparency. Jazzinc have been transparent with the entire production process for this item since its inception. The purpose of the test batch was to find problems, they have been identified, publicly acknowledged by Jazz and hopefully will be corrected for production. Jazzinc doesn't hide problems, they address them. But people like to twist the narrative.
For those of us that don’t know, what are the problems that were allegedly found? And if these shipments are for “testing” why does it matter if the reviews don’t mention any issues. As long as a purchaser receives a 100% good car what does it matter?
@@mmacho73 From the ones I saw. One had problems with the canopy not being aligned, another had issues with the guns not coming out, there was also talk about the spinning turbine on front not working. But for me personally I really didn’t care because I knew they were from the test batch and even if they weren’t from a test batch Jazzinc always offers free replacements when theres issues. The whole thing was blown out of proportion from people that either didn’t know or were just looking for an excuse to trash the company. It didn’t help that the UA-camrs that had the vehicle with problems weren’t being very transparent about it making it look like they were hiding something.
