Hi, I'm Laura! I have taught art for many years, and on this channel I'll be posting lots of tips and tutorials on how to draw and create many other types of art projects. I use this channel as a resource for my classroom, and I'm always trying new things and adding more videos. This channel would be a great resource for other teachers, parents, homeschooling families, aspiring young artists, or anyone who loves to learn new skills. Currently, I teach kindergarten through 8th grade students, so most of the videos are geared towards those age groups, but older students and adults may enjoy them as well.

Linoleum Block Printing with Multiple Colors
Linoleum block printing is a great introduction to printmaking that uses materials that you can easily find at your nearest craft store. The block’s soft surface is easy to carve and works a bit like a rubber stamp. Start out with just one color or challenge yourself by trying a multiple color process.

Origami FLEXAGON

This fun flexagon can be rotated and played with like a fidget toy. I added drawings to it that change depending on which way you turn the flexagon. The paper folds are a little more challenging, so it's best suited to older kids or adults (I did this with my 5th & 6th grade classes).
Making a Coil Basket with Recyclable Materials

In this tutorial, I'll show you how to make a coil basket using yarn and plastic grocery bags. You could also substitute old t-shirts cut into strips for the yarn to make a basket from 100% recycled materials. This project is suitable for older kids or adults; I do this project with my 8th graders, but younger tweens who are into crafting might really enjoy it too.
Styrofoam Printmaking with Washable Markers

Learn how to make prints using Styrofoam and washable markers. This type of print making doesn’t require a press or other complicated materials. Use supplies you probably already have on hand; you can even use Styrofoam from a takeout container… just make sure you wash it first!
Make a Yarn Cart

If you are an art teacher, you know what a pain it is to store and distribute yarn to students without everything getting tangled. I've been teaching art for years, and this yarn cart has been the best solution to my yarn storage problems. I save so much time and waste less yarn; I wish I had thought of this years ago!
